Lakeside hotel in excellent position
Very friendly hotel next to the lake. Excellent location for the use of public transport, free with the canton Tourist Ticket. This gives free travel in the entire canton. This will save you a fortune.

Older hotel but great location
The location of this hotel is really the selling point. It has views of the lake and is very central. The windows aren't the newest so you can hear the noise from the adjacent bar but the hotel thoughtfully provide earplugs for this very reason. The hotel itself is a little tired but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom functional. It was quite clean too. One of the best bits about the stay is the hotel provides you with a booklet of tickets for local attractions so you can have a boat trip, muséum visit and go to the botanical gardens all for free. It's also a travel pass so you can use public transport too.

A great location right in the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely bonus was the free travel and visitor pass for the duration of our stay given by the hotel. The bathrooms could do with an update but were very clean. Breakfast coffee is from a machine, ok but not all options were working.

We stayed 1 night, location is great and service was good. It mentioned on the web "room with lake veiw" well that is not true, due to the location it is practically impossible for any room to have a proper lake view.

We paid extra for a "lake view." What we didn't know until after check in was that the "lake view" also overlooked a festival area and we were informed only after check-in that there would be loud music played just below our window until 2 a.m.!! We were cheerfully provided with free earplugs. SO, it's a nice enough hotel in a convenient location, but having loud music immediately adjacent to the hotel is ridiculous (ironically, I think the cheaper "non lake view" rooms would have been fine, as they're on the completely opposite side of the building).

Refuge in the rain
I was on a solo cycling tour and had pre booked to stay 1 night. The hotel staff were very welcoming and a good breakfast was provided. The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the edge of lake and close to the CBD. Unfortunately during my visit it was raining heavily so did not explore too much of the local area.

Location is great. My bed squeaked whenever I moved. There's really no lobby place to sit and relax. There is no Wifi except in the rooms.

Nice and serviceable.
Great location, serviceable staff. VERY uncomfortable keychain to carry around. Reasonable value overall. I will definitely consider the TdL when I return to Neuchâtel.

The place is ok but not great. It has basic and dated rooms but I didn't expect the most luxurious room. It is right on the lake so it's a great location in the city. Cheap compared to other hotels in Neuchatel but still very over priced.

Great location!
Hotel is a few steps from the lake and close to restaurants. Reception very friendly, rooms are clean though small. Great for short stay. Would benefit from a remodel.

Great staff on check-in. We also had to check-in later in the evening on our second night and they easily made arrangement for using the lock box outside the hotel. The room was clean and neat as was the hotel. The location is excellent in Neuchatel. The one draw back was that the doors between the adjoining rooms do not offer much sound protection and I could easily hear coughing and snoring from the neighboring room. Otherwise not back experience.
