Things that should have been simple were not

Posted Jan 5, 2018
It is a bad sign when you are asked to wait for 10 minutes before someone can show you to your room. The layout of the hotel is ridiculous with having to go up and down different elevators and halls to move around. The staff was generally quite nice but it was frustrating to have to call maintenance multiple times to get broken toilet and flashing overhead lights fixed. Housekeeping also did not show up to clear the room until late afternoon which was frustrating.

Dirty beat up hotel. The pics are misleading.

Posted Jan 3, 2018
Room was dirty and beat up. Stains on carpet and ceiling. Toilet seat broken and no working light in shower. Furniture had tears. Patio view was basically a half wall as we were below ground looking up. It was definitely not worth $900 a night. It's more in line with a $150 per night hotel.

It is very unfortunate to know that your experience at our Westgate Park City Resort & Spa was anything less than exceptional. Although we are in the process of enhancing many of our features we expect our units to be nothing less than clean and fully functional. It is our hope that you reached our to our front desk as they would have address your issue and made your stay a more comfortable one. We do hope that you give us another chance in the future to exceed your expectations. Lexa

Excellent location and amenities...but one problem

Posted Jan 3, 2018
Pros: Location and amenities
Cons: Hire a housekeeping manager that can actually manage the staff.
We enjoyed our stay at Westgate. It is an excellent location for skiing with very nice amenities including the ski valet and skiers locker room. The only problem was the housekeeping service. Several days we had to call numerous times to get housekeeping to show up, sometimes as late as 630pm. When they promised to be there by 1pm the next day...they did not show up till after 5pm. We spoke with the general manager who assured us it would be corrected. Guess the housekeeping staff does not even listen to him. If it were not for the housekeeping problems, we would stay here again... but that is not going to be the case as I would not recommend staying here. There are other similar places to stay that don't have this housekeeping problem.

Great hotel, great amenities, heart of Park City

Posted Dec 12, 2017
Pros: Huge, beautiful room with tons of extras and great view.
Cons: Better coordination and containment of renovations. Breakfast options!
Location: Perfect location with tons to do.
Loved the hotel. Huge spacious rooms with great amenities. Perfect, picturesque location. The steak house was great. NEED to have better and more breakfast options. Additionally was being renovated during my stay and you literally had to walk through (ON TOP OF!) construction materials to get from parking to my room!! Totally bizarre, dangerous and dirty. Marred an otherwise great experience.

Very Nice Hotel would stay here again

Posted Dec 7, 2017
Pros: the rooms were great
Cons: the layout of the hotel was confusing. The parking garage entrance was not lit at all for entry at night to know where they were.
Had a great time with the family and enjoyed our stay. would recommend this resort to my friends.

Held hostage -- I paid a room deposit in advance

Posted Nov 26, 2017 on Orbitz
Location: Hyatt and also Hilton.
Held hostage -- I paid a room deposit in advance -- so they just give me a crummy room and then hold me hostage when I just want to leave. When we go to room, get a huge view of their.....dumpster. Ask for another room -- get a view of couple trucks in dirt parking lot and orange traffic cone. When I re-state this is not acceptable - am told no other rooms available (although they advertise they have 498 rooms). Told them fine I'll just leave and they say so too bad I already paid large deposit. So, I am stuck. Per website photos it is reasonable for me to infer an adequate view (yet, I am not allowed one because I paid in advance). Further, for a place purporting to be four AAA Diamonds and four Forbes Stars -- they should hold themselves accountable. Although we have a baby no one offers to help with luggage upon check-in nor during these rooms' moves. Parking is an exceptionally long and twisting walk and elevators' rides to room. The parking deck is surprisingly filthy. The shower was, literally, a trickle of water. All this for paying room, tax and (ironically) a resort fee for the night. The only correct and well-done customer service experience was the luggage service when we left in the morning. My conversation with Property Manager: him: I don't understand why you complain, it's our most requested view -- my response: what, a view of your dumpster?! Then, he says: Well, we don't charge for the view, we charge for the room.
