THE LITTLE RED, the best general store ever! A view of the Provincetown harbor from the water. The catamaran in the foreground is the fast ferry to Boston. The trip takes 90 minutes. Located on the pier, there are many fantastic photo ops at every turn. The people make this area unique and are fabulous! P-town is a Trovers paradise! I could spend weeks here and never get bored. It was a perfect timing that moment I shot this photo Marking the entrance to Provincetown Harbor, Long Point Lighthouse is an unmanned light. It is 38 feet tall and shines a green light. A fog sensor activates the fog horn. The lighthouse was built in 1875 and the adjacent oil house
was built in 1904. This remote light can only be accessed by foot or boat. It is now illuminated via solar panels. There are only around 320 of these animals left, and currently a huge number are being seen off of Cape Cod--most of the entire population. I took these photos from shore at Race Point, Provincetown. We also saw 4 other Cetaceans: Humpback Whales, Fin Whales, Atlantic White-sided Dolohin, and Harbor Porpoises. Also Gray Seals were seen. Sunset viewing at Race Point Beach can be spectacular.
