Off Season Stay
Posted Jun 11, 2013
My wife and I stayed in room 10 for two nights in early June, before the busy season. Place wasn't too busy. The owners are great - Annie pulled out a map of Chatham and gave us a run-down of all the places to go, and she's so friendly. She told us all about the local restaurants, putting in a plug for her family's restaurant, which we tried (Mooncusser's Tavern in Harwich) and very much enjoyed. Live Jazz and great tapas (the mustard-base sauce on the mussels was wonderful and unique) and I left my hat there and the owner had it for me the next day when we left our room! The motel has had some updates in the bathrooms which is good - new tile and showerheads. The tub and sink were a bit dated. Room had a mid-size mini-fridge which was unexpected and great. TV was a small CRT tube TV. There were large-slat blinds on the windows but having curtains would have been nice as the rooms are all ground level. We sat by the pool on the second day of our stay because it was so windy at the beach. Pool was uncovered but hadn't been cleaned yet for the season which was too bad -- we didn't go in! We enjoyed our stay, good place for the money.
