Terrible smell in the first room we received. Found a broken toilet tank to be the issue. Requested new room and we were moved without any trouble. Second room had a strange smell as well. Room itself was clean. I think we could have found a better hotel at a similar price in the area. Convenient that it was right next door to the mall though for overnight shopping trip.

Had a wonderful stay
Nice place in a great location. The room was clean and nicely sized. The staff were nice and courteous. In my short visit, I did not really use most of the amenities, but I can't think of anything negative about the place

The Fairfield Marriott Hyannis is right next to the Cape Cod Mall if you like to shop. Rooms a decent size and well equipped; large bathroom; nice sized pool; good standard breakfast buffet. Staff made up for the generic nature of the building by being warm, welcoming and helpful.

The staff made it
Room a bit dated, but clean and nice, strange smell at first. The breakfast was basic. The best part was the absolutely lovely lady on reception, she spend time with us as it was quiet and gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner and places to go.

Stale and unclean
Check in to hotel was good, after that things went down hill. It immediately became apparent that the room was not clean. This was not just housekeeping had missed something, there were stains on the walls, the a/c had a vent so clogged with dust/debris it had grown through the opening into the room. There was months, if not years, of dust in all corners of the room. The bathroom was also in poor condition. It appeared as though maintenance and housekeeping had taken an extended holiday abroad. The morning buffet/breakfast included pre-packaged muffins you would find in a gas station, several stale bagels, and even more stale cereal.

really cool hotel! stopped with children. everything is very convenient. breakfast is just great. We were accommodated on the first floor. Thank you. The hotel has a swimming pool, but we didn’t go there because it smelled too much of chlorine. but that's not a problem, the ocean is nearby.
