Nice hotel with a good price

Posted Aug 28, 2015
The kitchen was closed for breakfast. That's the only part that we didn't like. It was so inconvenient.

Not what it used to be

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Too numerous to list. - See above for some ideas
Location: On Main St in Hyannis, the International Inn is in a prime spot for tourists. Main St is a nice place to eat and shop for souveneirs
Many years ago the International Inn was a GREAT place for a romantic getaway. Sadly, this isn't the case anymore. Stayed in late August for 3 nights in the Plaza Suite. Other than the comfortable bed, the room was a disappointment. The hot tub had very weak water jets and is actually smaller than the next room down in price. The paint in the bath area is red, chipping in the corners, and was done very badly. The only window was in the bedroom and was a view of an "enclosed alleyway" is what I would call it. Very claustrophobic feeling and it goes without saying - no view of anything other than AC units and other guest room windows. Heard the housekeeping carts rolling past our room all day each day and into the nights on the tile floors in the hallways. Both the pool and the restaurant were closed with no notice at booking. I'll say it more clearly - late August - No Pool. The restaurant used to host a great Continental breakfast each morning. Again though - closed = in the middle of tourist season.

Horrible

Posted Aug 25, 2015
They were rude to me . The girl didn't want to check me in have me attitude and asked how old I was . She should have asked for ID . Then she has my ID which clearly states in over 21 and she's still giving me a hard time . The pool was closed the restaurant closed . I called before booking and they told me it was going to be open. The Rome was dirty and old . And plus the ceiling in my bathroom broke while I was taking a shower. Never again!!

Old and outdated-

Dirty grimy windows- holes in the wall, 1960's television. Hair in the bed & the pool and restaurant are both closed! Close to the beach & strip, but old and gross.

They messed up on our reservations , and gave us a 3 room suite. Very friendly staff, and accommodating . Hotel right on Main St. We had our pick of restaurants , bars and Shops at our fingertips. All in walking distance , actually right out the front door of the hotel, had a great time,

Hotel is very outdated. Our mattess was horrible. The bed was low. The counter were at our knees. You had to bend to wash your hands. The rooms also smelled. Pretty much what we expected for the price. Pool not open. Didn't even have water in it. Restaurant was also not open. Some venting issue

Two day anniversary stay

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff was friendly and courteous.
Cons: Expedia is sound; the hotel needs upgrading.
Location: It was in downtown Hyannis, MA. The location was close to shops and restaurants.
We booked the vacation through Expedia based upon the visual presentation of the hotel room, amenities and price. When my wife and I arrived at hotel, we found it run down, the pool was out of service and the room was sub standard. The first room assigned to us had a broken ceiling fan, burnt out light in the bathroom, the T.V had a broker screen, the air conditioner froze up with ice and that made the room very warm. After a poor nights sleep my wife and I asked for the room to be serviced explaining in detail the issues the room had. We left for several hours and upon returning to the hotel found none of the issues resolved. The hotel clerk moved into another higher class room which was satisfactory. I will not go there again. In summary: The Expedia experience was satisfactory ( ease of booking and price) however, I was deceived by the presentation of the hotel which left me questioning the whole experience for any future purchases.

Close to Melody Tent and stores.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Close to Melody Tent and stores.
Cons: Binder with nearby restaurants and menus would be nice. Phone use directions needed. Hot water needs to be increased. Smoking area outside.
Location: Stores, restaurants, and Melody Tent all in walking distance.
Upon arrival we found out that the pool and the restaurant were closed. No discount was offered! Room was very nice. We stay in a Regency room and enjoyed having a seating area to watch TV. The room did not have any information about what restaurants or activities were available in the area, only in the hotel entrance. No information about how to use the phone. Hotel is in a great location - only a 5 minute walk to the Melody Tent and right on Main Street.
