Prime location and parking

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Perfect location, excellent parking, nice staff, fine rooms, free brekky, and right on Commercial Street!
Cons: We wish the toilets were high enough so that your knees are not at your eyes, but really, no big deal. We love this place.
Location: If you're staying at a hotel along Commercial street, this is the one you want, since it's closer to the center of things than some others.
We are off-season visitors who prefer less crowds, more clouds. This hotel is our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE and we have crowned it our go-to for all future visits. We came in late October and were UPGRADED to a 4th floor ocean-view room 410. With the elevator for all upstairs approaches we were thrilled. Bed was comfortable (there were two, one for the luggage, one for us), there was a fridge, a balcony, and an excellent feel about it. Neutral but authentic and sincere decor, and amazing blackout drapes affording as much or as little privacy as you wished. The panoramic view is FANTASTIC. You are right on the water, complete with a sandy beach. Landlubbers will appreciate the fire pit across the way, with comfy Adirondack chairs and free stargazing. One thing we didn't realize was that our breakfast was INCLUDED. This led us to explore the neighborhood and find lots of great little spots for coffee and a bite in the morning. However, on our last day we decided to dine at the hotel and, whoa, we discovered that we could have had, for zero extra cost, a lovely buffet of eggs, corned beef hash (how New England), bread and fruit assortment, and very delicious coffee. Oh well, live and learn. WE WILL BE BACK!

If you can two flights of narrow wooden stairs

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Location: You can walk anywhere and find most anything this little town has to offer.
The location was great. The scrambled eggs were among the best I have ever eaten. The stairs were daunting, but then we are old. Maybe younger people would be fine with them. But wet wooden stairs, maybe not. The bathroom for the most part was clean. There was a corner where all the dirt and hairs kind of ended up. The lobby was very nice.

Pros: Good location if you don't mind a little bit of a walk to town.
Cons: The room could use some upgrades. The bathroom was very dated with the door slightly rotten on the bottom and wallpaper peeling.
The hotel staff were very nice and very helpful. Overall, good option.

Excellent service, very accommodating

We had a great time at Surfside. Staff were amazing - friendly and very helpful. Very good continental breakfast - clean spacious rooms - right on the beach. Amazing view. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Provincetown. Great location - within walking distance to stores and restaurants.

great location - best thing about it

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Amazing to be on the beach and very dog friendly, which is why we booked. They even gave our pup welcome treats and a toy. Aw! Unfortunately in low season they don't care as much. A main reason we booked was so our dog could be at the fire pit with us. What they didn't tell us was that after high season everything shuts down early (including where you can get water in the main area, which was closed by 9pm). The final two nights the fire pit was completely covered and closed up. Ocean front room offered amazing view and was fairly clean, but the bathroom needs serious updating and cleanliness was not there. Maid service not the best--soap not replaced during entire 4-night stay, towels had hairs on them as did shower when we got there. Overall, decent stay for the price and amazing view with private beach. Not sure we'd stay again though.

I'm sorry we could not light the fire pit during your stay, however, when there are high winds or threat of rain we cannot turn this on, it is a gas fire pit and with high winds it is very dangerous. During this time of year we usually close the lobby down around 10:00PM, we will look into this matter and make sure it is not shut down that early.

Outstanding location at a great price

Pros: Location. View. Friendly staff. Lots of useful things in the room - iron and ironing board, fridge etc. A relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: More choice at breakfast - but that's splitting hairs really.
We loved this place. It had everything you could want - fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room etc. But the absolute best thing was the incredible view from the rooms - worth paying a bit extra for a sea view room. There's also a reasonable breakfast, easy parking and good Wi-Fi. It's in a quiet location but just a 10 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the centre with all its bars and restaurants. It was the best place we stayed on our tour of New England. It was amazing value for money.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing. Great place to stay/great value.
Location: Short walk to downtown, but hard to leave our room's beautiful view of the beach/water.
Great staff – knowledgeable, took the time to give additional information even when extremely busy. Nice continental breakfast and outside pool and patio area. Comfortable room overlooking a fantastic view of water. Great value.
