Great servicePosted Jun 12, 2014 on Hotels
They were in the process of painting which is not a bad thing but the odor was pretty strong in our room from the hall, so we asked to be moved - which they did immediately. They have a great breakfast bar in the morning with cook to order omelettes, with a nice array of fruit, some pastries and other items in the warmers like sausage, some potatoes, stir fried noodles etc. The wifi was a little marginal depending on where you were. The hallways were really cold - but overall, a nice hotel with very good service.

Close to Convention Centre. Perfect for BusinessPosted May 6, 2014 on Hotels
I enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Capetonian Hotel. It is less than 5 Minute walk to the International Convention Centre. They offer Free Wifi and Free Shuttle to the V&A Waterfront on every hour. Great Buffet selection for Breakfast. Room was comfortable and spacious, however it was inconvenient that the wash sink & mirror were separate from the bathroom. Overall great stay and will come again.

Comfortable Hotel noisy roomPosted Feb 16, 2014
Pros: Charming well trained staff.
Cons: Noise of air handling plant under windows of rooms on South side of building
Location: Easy walking distance from Artscape and Conference Centre
Good comfortable Hotel in conveneint location. Hotel decore a little dated but functional. Breakfast choice excellent. Good value for money BUT room at back of hotel too near to air handling plants from adjoining building made it impossible to sleep with an open window and to use the airconditioning. Avoid ooms on south side of the building.

Good value for moneyPosted Jan 11, 2012 on Hotels
Got a very attractive price over Christmas so good value for the money. .. Overall a good experience - we would probably come back. Extremely helpful and friendly staff at the reception. Stayed with the family in a suite. No luxury, but spatious rooms and nothing to complain about. Located within walking distance (1km) to both V&A Waterfromt and the market. The hotel also offered a free shuttle to V&A. Only disappointment was the food. Breakfast OK, but far from fantastic. We arrived late at Chrsitmas day so we decided to have dinner at the hotel. Inexpensive food but but only average. And no alcohol at all served in that resturaunt (their other resaturant, which was said to sell drinks was closed on Christmas day)
