service and facility is over the top

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: The service and attention to details and customer needs were excellent, always with a smile and sincere effort to help
Cons: with travelers on business with multiple devices, a few more outlets in desk area would be helpful with plug types other than South African
Location: The Westin is in a retail desert but maintains a great, regular 15 minute interval shuttle to the main tourist area in the harbor
We had a convention at the cape town international convention center adjacent to the Westin. The hotel staff attentiveness, courtesy and service were excellent. While there are not many retail services in the area, the hotel maintains a frequent shuttle to the major shopping area at the harbor. The room included one of the most comprehensive breakfast buffets designed for an international community. Guest services and attentiveness was great. We did not use their travel desk (seldom have done while traveling internationally). Rooms well appointed. Hotel very conscious about water conservation and quality. But optional heated bathroom floors a bit too far.

Most enjoyable stay

Excellent and courteous service with great efficiency, great room, exceptional bathroom set -up, and great amenities. Big choice for breakfast - the same menu everyday - with a big choice off freshly prepared smoothies and fruits and vegetable juices. Frequent shuttle to and from Waterfront is most convenient.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. The only unfortunate oversight was with the bed selection - we requested 2 twin beds but we were provided with a queen bed.

Very disappointed

Very very disappointing. Would not reccomend this hotel. Staff were not friendly, room had very strange noises, booked harbour view and got a motor way instead, overall it was not enjoyable.

Great stay - highly recommended.

Pros: Location, facilities ( great spa), excellent breakfast. Friendly staff
Love this hotel - our fourth stay. Location - Away from the bustle of the waterfront but close to it!. Close to downtown and all the bus routes. There is a shuttle to the Waterfront but we walk in the daytime

Good business hotel for conferences.

Posted Jan 27, 2017
Pros: Staff in the restaurant, and those cleaning the room - excellent. The indoor pool on the 19th floor - terrific. Bathroom underfloor heating - great.
Cons: Reception staff - poorly trained and supervised. They should go to Westin Singapore and see how to work in a polite and pro-active manner.
Location: The "Waterfront" Westin is not in the Waterfront, and is not safe to walk around at night. A shuttle bus is needed to get to Waterfront restaurants.
A pretty good hotel let down by unprofessional and unhelpful attitude of reception staff, which created a bad impression from the outset. Overall, fine if you are attending a business conference in the Hotel or CTICC. However, if you want a more touristic experience with easy access to retail therapy, then choose one of the many hotels located within the Waterfront area itself, or else areas like Kloof St.

Great staff and facilities

Posted Jan 6, 2017
Pros: Staff, restaurants, spa, gym, pools, and the rooms (Executive Suite) were all very good.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Close to downtown and a short walk to V&A waterfront. Shuttle made it seem even closer.
Spent Christmas and New Years at the hotel, really enjoyed our time there. Great spa, gym, pool and restaurant facilities. Shuttle to and from V&A was very handy and made it feel like it was much closer.
