Pros: The friendliness of everyone.
Cons: Banisters down to the cabanas, my partner had broken her foot before we came and she sometimes struggled to get down the steps.
Location: So much to see and do, I managed shark cage diving, walk up table mountain, safari, V & A waterfront. Looking forward to returning to Cape Town.
I was in Cape Town for my daughters wedding having travelled from the UK. The hotel was lovely especially the beach cabana which was 100m from the beach. The hotel staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. It was a shame that I could not stop longer, but I only had a week in your hotel. Thankyou again for making myself, my partner and daughter so welcome in your hotel.

The people make the difference!Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The location, the staff and the food. All fantastic.
Cons: The rooms could do with a bit of TLC and some attention to detail.
Location: The beach is amazing - particularly for kite-surfing. Theres restaurants in Blaubergstrand if you want a change and the V&A is only 30 mins away/
This hotel is in a fabulous location, literally a 1 minute walk from the glorious white sands of Dolphin Beach. We stayed in one of the self-contained Beach Cabanas. The appartment is very spacious, although the bedrooms feel a bit on the small side, the use of the space for themopen lounge/dining area is well judged. The big patio doors give a marvellous view across the dunes to Table Mountain. While comfortable the overall condition of the apparement was a bit "tired". Most noticeable was the poor finish in the bathroom - with broken tiles replaced by mis-matching ones, very crude finish around the bath and mirror and a DIY shower-screen to stop water leaking past the shower curtain. Basic kitchen utensils were supplied, and a small fridge stored the essentials, with masses of spare storage space. The free Wifi in the room was fast enough for FaceTime calls, which was handy as mobile reception was poor that close to the beach. with the twin bedroom, the double bedroom and a sofa-bed the appartment would comfortable sleep 6 adults - great value. Minor niggles about the room aside, the quality of the service was exceptional. Everyone we dealt with was happy, courteous and caring. From the check-in process which was quick and friendly to the speedy response to requests for a cot, spare towels etc. Room service was lighting fast and the food from the Blowfish Restaurant was exceptional - particularly the sushi!

Disappointing hotelPosted Apr 16, 2015 on Hotels
The Dolphin Beach hotel was disappointing for my family and I. The room was not well equipped, although we did find out additional kitchen items can be requested, but not until day 10! We stayed in a beach cabana and the room did smell. The sofa was falling apart & very uncomfortable to sit on. The location is beautiful, but the pool is not big enough for the size of the hotel. We did room service several evenings, & this was very good service and the food was delicious.

Hotel (City Center vs. Beach front)Posted Mar 25, 2015
Cons: Internet Rooms cleaning and furnishing (as it is very old and smelling)
Location: Nothing is close by and in the evening its get dark so you can't move out.
Location - This Hotel is on the beach which provides easy access to beach and gives you a view to the Table mountain but it is far from city center and Victoria and Alfered Waterfront and surrounding shopping malls. So those who looking for ease of access to all key locations although you may take tour or taxis but any Hotel close to Victoria and Alfered will give you a best ease of access to city center and other key points to visit. Internet facility - Internet facility in the rooms is week and often does not work. Room - Rooms are spacious and like service apartment with all appliances such as microwave, washing machines and gives you an option to cook. Swimming pools - very small I stayed for a short stay of two nights with the purpose of sleep only but I would recommend stay closer to the city center (Victoria & Alfered Waterfront).
