Comfortable but looking tired and not a great loca

Posted Feb 22, 2017
Pros: Good rooms, quiet surroundings and a great breakfast.
Cons: Location, location, location. And the genteel decrepitude of common areas and corridors.
Location: Get a taxi. The neighbourhood is deserted.
I had one of the smallest rooms but it was large by most standards and comfortable (except for the usual extended search at bedtime to find the many light switches hidden in all corners). Even the low light in the corridors couldn't disguise the tatty state of walls and doors. The place needs a good coat of paint and sprucing up. The worst feature of the hotel is its location. It's miles away from anything and anyone. Fortunately a free shuttle is available to the waterfront so civilisation is not too far away.

Centrally located hotel

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: Breakfast caters for specific dietary requirements; the free chocolate-chip cookies; the staff were friendly
Cons: The rooms could do with a few "wow" factors for the price and could be a bit more spacious.
Location: The hotel is located centrally between the outskirts of the CBD and an upcoming hipster area. There are factory shops to visit nearby.
This hotel is centrally located and offers one a pleasant experience. The staff and management are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast caters for specific dietary requirements and is one of the best breakfasts I've had! The rooms are pretty basic and nothing extraordinary but nonetheless they were quite comfy! I will definitely be using this hotel again!

Very disappointing stay

Posted Nov 15, 2016
Pros: Doubletree by Hilton has overseen a massive overhaul in the past few years, but this hotel clearly hasn't done so
Cons: Staff were unhelpful, difficult, and the bathroom cleanliness was abysmal
Location: The hotel is relatively new, in an out of the way location. If you don't have transport, forget it. Parking is paid parking, and expensive for RSA

Pros: Everything!! View of the Table mountain from the top deck
Cons: Nothing
Location: Table mountain cable car, shopping at V & A waterfronts
Couldn't ask for anything more, good value for money paid

Great place (repeat visitor)

We choose the Loft rooms because they are great for our family. There's also easy parking underneath the hotel (but the bays are tight). Great hotel, been getting more expensive over the years but not much to fault. Loft rooms are very spacious.

Great service and breakfast

I stayed here for 7 nights , the hotel was superb and the staff were amazing and so helpful. The immediate area around the hotel in Woodstock was not ideal for walking around due to its inner city feel. The hotel however was excellent value for money and the shuttle to the V&A was really useful. An excellent stay Thanks
