Lovely home from homePosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Location, security, friendly atmosphere, quiet neighbourhood.
Cons: A bench in the room for the suitcase would be appreciated.
Location: Close to Table Mountain, the Waterfront and ideal to explore Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, the Postberg Flower Reserve and Chapman's Peak from.
The ownwer managed to simultaneously be friendly, welcoming, professional and efficient. The house is beautifully renovated and very clean and the crisp white bedlinen a pleasure. We really enjoyed our stay and the lovely breakfasts.

Excellente adressePosted Feb 18, 2015 on Hotels
Petit dej impeccable. Bref une adresse à diffuser largement.

Just next to the action on Kloof StreetPosted May 28, 2014 on Hotels
Close to all the fun, restaurants, bars on Kloof. Around the corner from the theatres. Close to Long Street. Alternatively, a great start to to a walk to Table mountain. Yet removed enough to be quiet. Friendly staff who are very welcoming. And with great coffee.

Charming and friendly placePosted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere, friendliness of staff and owner
Cons: Fan was a bit noisy
This is a very charming and special old building, with a good quite location from the town center if you don't mind a bit of walking (which I don't). The owner Marco and the Manager Agath were very friendly and helpful, providing lots of information and performed for me the bookings of my township tour and airport taxi. Breakfast was very good as well, and they gladly accommodated my Vegan needs. I stayed at the large room which was spacious and beautiful. You should be aware as other people mentioned that as this is and old building with wooden floors, insulation of noise is not very good, so when people start going about at morning it is felt around the house. So this place is ideal for people wanting early start in the morning (such as I) rather than ones that partied all night wanting to sleep in very late.

Belle Ombre nessled in pocket of TamboerskloofPosted Dec 6, 2012
Pros: classic and relaxed, like coming home
Cons: wooded floorboards and hearing the movements of others in the morning
Location: Residential. safe, tranquil pocket away from the hussle and bussle but only 5-10 mins walk to restaurants & cafes
Great quiet area. Old house, very classic in residential area run by lovely people who care that you have everything you need. Old house is lovely but you can hear the movements of others in the morning for example, other than that very comfortable, clean, safe and tranquil. I would easily recommend especially if you are an early riser.
