Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay. I would have liked to have ie. a sherry in the room in the winter as it's so cold. The rooms are very comfortable and a nice space to also relax and not necessarily go out. Can happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am a light sleeper and was constantly woken up by outside noises of cars driving past and general noise. This made me a little grumpy :( The hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very delicious.

Stay spoils by noisy corporate function

Pros: Just about everything
Cons: Having been given restaurant booking in main restaurant on our second night we arrived to find restaurant booked out completely for corporate function
Location: In beautiful mountain location.
Great hotel in beautiful setting. However experience ruined by noisy corporate function ion second day. Still noisy at 3am. Also gave rise to our booking for main dining room being rescinded when we appeared for dinner and us moved to informal outdoor patio restaurant .

We were greeted in the lobby with glasses of sparkling wine . The service was incredible & their breakfast buffet was like a Sunday brunch every day .

Perfect Getaway

Received a warm welcome!!Greeted with champers and soft jazz in the room!Excellent service!The hotel room was perfect,the ambience...spacious.....crisp linen...underfloor heating.....absolutely friendly staff!The view was absolutely beautiful and the food Devine!Definitely going back!What a beautiful town....pure relaxation......thank you!❤️

Nettes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Leuten..

Pros: Sehr netter Umgang- egal ob Putzfrau oder Manager...
Cons: Dachisolierung von innen (zog ganz schön und war ziemlich laut)
Location: Ohne Auto ist kaum eine Unternehmung möglich...
Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. An kälteren Tagen ist es recht zugig und auch sehr hellhörig, da die Dachseite auf der Bettseite nicht gut isoliert ist. In der Nacht scheint auch das Licht vom Gang hindurch. Das könnte man vielleicht durch eine Isolierung abstellen. Essen, Pool, Frühstücksbuffet...alles prima. hat man einen Wunsch- alles wir erfüllt oder versucht zu erfüllen. Am Abend kommt noch einmal die Dame vom Roomservice- tauscht Handtücher und es gibt ein Leckerli. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auf der Terrasse einen Snack zu sich nehmen..allerdings an kalten Tagen ist dies nicht möglich, man müsste praktisch in der Lobby essen- was an den Tischen fast nicht möglich ist. Da könnte eine Alternative gefunden werden...

Loved the hotel- nestled amongst the mountains. Perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. Hotel and its staff gave a warmth of home away from home feeling with all your needs taken care of.

Took very long to clean room on the 2nd day. Had to wait until after 2pm, had a wedding at 4pm. No towels in room, had to phone, never arrived. Had to prepare for wedding without towels. Mould in shower.

Meh!

The hotel is a few km from the city. It is a huge construction, we thought the hotel was smaller. We selected the family room and we were quite disappointed, they are certainly unsuitable for babies. The rooms are far too small for a family, they have a double bed on the bottom floor and two singles on the top floor, but this floor is just a mezzanine (ridiculously small, there are no wardrobes!) and there is little room for the luggage anywhere. There is air conditioning but the fresh air does not reach the top floor. There is also no curtains for the window upstairs and lots of unwanted light enter the room at 6am. The rooms do not have any internet connection unless you pay a fortune for the service (wifi only available at the main building). The restaurant was actually quite nice and so was the breakfast. We really liked the spa. The service was quite terrible, staff disappeared on us many times after having ordered and we had to chase them for everything, they kept us waiting many times and they ended up forgetting our orders. Although quite disastrous, the staff generally was very friendly, and they helped us when we had queries with our room. Would we come back? Most likely not, the city was very small and does not have so many interesting places to visit. Stellenbosch was far more beautiful and enriching!
