Arrived in Africa to be told we had no booking!!!!

Booked, confirmed and secured via Hotel.com with all details provided as requested at time of booking!! Agreed to pay in full at location, as per available options!! However the booking was ''cancelled'' by the owner / manageress as apparently two emails requesting a 50% deposit were sent, NO other contact was attempted even though telephone details were given - this was not specified at the time of booking!!! Very disappointing and very poor service, clearly Hotels.com does not let suppliers know the agreed booking terms - All this after I received an email on the 16th December confirming booking from Hotels.com. Lucky we knew the area!!!! Disgusting service from Hotels.com - will never use EVER again!!!!
