Good location, close to beach

Pros: view from room
Cons: Pillows
Location: Beach across street, restaurants at harbor, mall in mission Viejo,
Good location close to beach and freeways, restaurants at dana point harbor, but the pillows were terrible, bed comfortable but all four pillows on bed lumpy and hard.......staff was very pleasant, breakfast was ok.

Excellent value. Under change of ownership and management. We arrived to some light construction but were very happy with all amenities.

Dirty room with no WiFi

As I checked in, the cleaning staff was trying to leave early for the day. The receptionist didn’t speak Spanish, so it caused confusion and took longer to check in as she was dealing with them. When that was settled, I found out I had been upgraded to a whirlpool room, which was nice. But when I saw the room, i found a ton of dirt and stuff in the sink. The next morning I learned that the sink didn’t really drain either. I also found a bunch of paper towels wadded up on the edge of the shower, there was some brown stuff on them and it was pretty gross. WiFi didn’t work in the room and I had no cell service inside. Both worked outside the room pretty well. I talked to receptionist and she waved my resort fee and offered to switch me. The location was awesome, but the cleanliness was a big problem to me.

Across the street from beach

Pros: Friendly front desk staff.
Cons: Update the hotel and provide better breakfast. The egg was nasty!
Location: Beach is right across the street. Couple of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
This hotel is right across the street from the beach with couple of restaurants nearby. We parked our car in the hotel garage and didn't have to move our car until we checked out the next day. Front desk staff is very friendly. Room and facilities are a little bit old but clean. They charged extra per night for parking and breakfast. The breakfast was edible, but not good. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Rooms need a little TLC

Pros: Covered parking, ocean view
Cons: Room odor
Location: About a 10 minute drive from beaches/restaurants. Dana Point Harbor has whale watch cruises and a marine sea life institute.
We only stayed one night here to attend a nearby wedding and although the location was close to our venue and we appreciated the underground parking garage, we were disappointed overall. We had room 303 and it had an overpowering mold/mildew, musty odor. We assumed it just needed to be aired out, so we left the A/C on and a back window open while we were away. We returned and the odor was less potent, but still fairly strong. We didn't report it since it was late and we were leaving in the morning. The staff is nice and we liked the fact the room bed was comfortable, it had a safe, and we had covered parking, however, they need to figure out if it is a filter or if the hotel needs the air ducts cleaned. I don't know if other rooms had this issue. The location is about 10 mins from the beach and restaurants, which was good.

Ok stay

Very good hotel... good location, good places to eat around, convenient.. downfall was checking in took a very long time. Also I got a partial ocean view, it was partial but i didnt particularly enjoyed it. Couldve got a regular view, thought it would be way better. I liked the room it had a big bed and high ceiling

Good stay. Nice area. Good ocean views.

Very cute and quaint little hotel. Employees were friendly, room was comfortable. Could stand a few updates, but overall very nice. Breakfast was good, nothing special, but at least scrambled eggs and sausage.
