Pleasant overnight

Posted Aug 17, 2017
This was for an overnight stay to watch the Nationals play. It's a very short 10 minute walk to the park. Easily up the road. Parking is reasonable for D.C. which is another reason to pick the hotel. About $35 and tax. Hotel looks a little dated in the lobby and he bathroom can use some now caulking to fix the black spots but overall it was a good experience I recommend and will do again.

My first trip to DC

Posted Aug 11, 2017
Pros: Location, close to metro station, easy access from highway
Cons: carpet - I know it's been cleaned, but I think both hallway & room carpets need to be removed and replaced, they look dark and dirty
Location: The Capital building, the monuments, White House
It was my first trip to DC. We drove there and it was an easy access from highway. Sometimes it takes a long time to find a parking when arrive to the hotel but it wasn't the case this time. Quick check-in and out was also plus. Room was older and dated, but not dirty or anything. Beds were comfortable. We slept really well. We took hotel shuttle bus to the Capital next morning, we were out all day and took Metro back to the hotel, it was only 10 mins walking from the station. I ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant but I think it's overpriced, it was a good breakfast but $15 for breakfast? That's too much. I went to nearby coffee shop for breakfast next day. And I wish there's a fridge and a microwave in the room.

Room was overall clean and a large size. Location of hotel was excellent. We asked for late check out and they allowed but then locked us out of the room. Breakfast was reasonably priced but just ok. Overall I would stay there again.

Beautiful View!

Posted Aug 2, 2017
Our hotel room had the most beautiful view of the Capitol. The pool is lovely and the location is super convenient to explore DC. The hotel is chic and comfortable without being too pricey.

Check-in nightmare

Posted Aug 1, 2017
We book a room for 3 adults but the hotel was overbooked. We was sent to a SINGLE ROOM in the Kellogg's Conference Hotel for one night, whose room looked 2 stars at best, and I had to sleep on the floor. The Capitol Skyline Hotel's room was decent but needed more light. The corridors and elevator were dark and dusty. The front desk staffs were difficult to reach via phone calls but helpful once you got hold of them.

Hello Jorge, I'm sorry you felt our parking rate was "outrageous". In fact it is a great value price, as most hotels in DC charge $65+ for overnight parking. I am glad that otherwise, you enjoyed your accommodations with us. We thank you for your business, and hope to have the opportunity to host you once more!

DC Vacation

Posted Jul 24, 2017
I don't think I will ever stay at this hotel again. After a day of touring the capital, we wanted to come back to the hotel for a rest. However, the television kept freezing up, the air conditioning was sub par and the safe did not work at all. Who wants to deal with the front desk after a long day out? The room should be in good standing with EVERYTHING working. Shouldn't it be someone's job to monitor these things? Will never stay at this hotel again...

Hello Tina, I'm sorry we did not meet your standards. Unfortunately, sometimes these things do happen. However, our front desk agents usually provide the fastest resolution to our guests, should somehow the room not be in perfect condition. We thank you for your business, and hope you give our hotel another chance! Have a great summer!

Nice location. Great swimming pool. The beds crinkled like there was a layer of plastic in there somewhere.
