Relaxing and Peaceful StayPosted Oct 10, 2017
Pros: My favourite part was the breakfast and also the hors d'oeuvres and truffles. The rooms were nice and each one was decorated in the a different style.
Cons: I can't think of anything that needs to be improved.
Location: The shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the Inn. And the highway was easily accessible as well.
We loved Capitola ... great little seaside village, much nicer than Santa Cruz. We like the shops and the restaurants. The Inn at Depot Hill was also such a great place to stay. Good rooms, great staff and delicious breakfasts and snacks. I would recommend this place if driving down Hwy 1 and enjoying the Northern California coastline.

Close to restaurants, beach, shoppingPosted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Nice location, close to the water, shops, restaurants. The main living room/library area is well maintained.
Cons: Housekeeping, food, replacing holy shoji screens, moldy bamboo blinds. Put a footstool in the bathrooms that have high soaking tubs, FALL risk!
Location: Beach, walking, eating on the water, shopping.
The room I stayed in had a giant soaking tub. The white grout was black and moldy. The tub was so tall, it needed a step stool to get in and out of. I injured myself getting out. The bathroom's back door and bamboo blind had mold all over, as did the shower door, at the bottom. There was no ventilation in the room. They need A/C. There are only one little fan and a portable heater in the room. The gas fireplace worked "intermittently", shutting off every few minutes. The breakfast was cold, wrinkly, microwaved sausage, french toast, and a fruit cup with a moldy raspberry right on top! For the price, I would neither return, nor recommend to anyone. Desperately in need of renovations and careful cleansing of the bathrooms.

We have been coming here for over 30 years. Always a great stay. Best room is Delph. Fireplace. Double head shower. Hot tub.

Exceptional B&B, close to the beachPosted Sep 13, 2017
I honestly can not think of one negative thing to say about the Inn at Depot Hill. Breakfast fabulous, room lovely, staff accommodating, and the hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evening was just a bonus! All the little extras, from robes in the room to beach towels for the beach. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed! Beautiful patio where we choose to have breakfast every morning. Definitely will stay again!

Ideal for a quick getawayPosted Aug 19, 2017
Warm and friendly service, clean well-appointed room. You can eat breakfast communally or in your room (we opted for in-room), and ours was tasty and brought right on time. Quick walk to the beach (and there's also a free beach shuttle that stops right outside). All in all, ideal for our purposes. We had a wonderful time and would happily stay again.
