Everything was nice and the staff was helpful. The air conditioner was not very effective in our room. Also during check-in we were told to pay the hotel fee but I had already paid to Expedia. I showed them the online receipt in my e-mail inbox and the issue was resolved.

It should be a secular hotel

I know that Novotel is French Chain, and I enjoy my stay every time I book there. But this time I was shocked that this branch in Keyseri- Turkey, they didn't bother to open a buffet in the morning because of Ramadan!! They instead made us go to the hotel next door to have our breakfast... It's a shame how an international standards' hotel takes such religious measures in a so called secular country!!! Knowing that even under the islamic rules, the traveller has the right to stop fasting... Anyway, it was a black point for Novotel and the management there, as it is a shameful discrimination for clients from other worldviews!!

Stay Away** staff was terrible and unorganized.

After Paying for one night through Expedia the hotel durning check out accused me of staying multiple nights and not paying. I only stayed one night and payed. They said they were going to call the police if I didn't pay. After an hour of trying to get ahold of the information and receipts I was finally able to board my early morning flight. Thank you for the huge head ache Novotel. Never to return

To Cappadokia.

Arrived late in evening and left next day for Cappadokia. Didn't eat any meals so can't comment. Would have preferred a rate that included breakfast. Front desk were helpful in organizing bus transfers.

Good, but not as good as other reviews suggest

Pros: 1) Solid fitness center 2) Proximity to airport 3) Comfortable room with smart design (e.g. desk, plugs, etc)
Cons: 1) No way to close shower to prevent spillage (designed to do this, but not perfect) 2) Restaurant -- slow, non-English speaking help, food so-so
Location: Very close to the airport (which is why we chose it), but not much else. TIP: It costs about 15 Turkish Lira for a taxi from the airport.
After arriving on a very late flight, this hotel was a very comfortable and welcome place to crash. Clean, modern, and well-designed (at least the bedroom). We both used the fitness center and while not super-advanced, it was absolutely fine. As noted above, the restaurant was a big disappointment on several levels: Upon arrival, we made it clear we were in a rush and needed the food in a certain amount of time. Our waitress assured us this would not be a problem but in the end, we had to cancel things and take certain things to go in order to not miss our taxi... and this was after reiterating the concern numerous times. It appears language was a barrier, despite the fact that this waitress was assigned to us by the supervisor when they learned we were English-speaking. In addition, the food was disappointing in quality and taste... and did not come close to matching what was described on the menu when it came to 1 or 2 of the 3 items we ordered. Restaurant aside and some design issues in the bathroom, it was an absolutely fine hotel to stay in, especially for the night. It should be noted however that it does not come close to being a 4-star hotel as defined by Expedia... hopefully that error will be fixed and it be listed correctly as the perfectly fine 3-star hotel that it is.

Nice budget hotel

Great if you want a sauna

Pros: Comfortable bed, convenient restaurant, clean rooms and facilities
Cons: Provide adequate temperature controls! Provide staff with better customer service training and the ability to provide restitution to unhappy guests
Location: Convenient to the airport; not much else nearby
Everything started out well; the hotel, which we got for a great price, looked wonderful upon entry and staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed our room for a few hours and then prepared for sleep, noting that the room was a bit warm. We opened the window the two inches allowed, but it was very noisy outside, so opted to turn on the air conditioning. Soon, we realized that despite it being on cool and set to 18C, the unit was pouring out hot air. We turned it off, and called the front desk only to be told that the air conditioner wouldn't work because it's cold out and of course the heat would come on instead. Sounds reasonable, right?!? Finally, a hotel staff member came upstairs at 1am to unlock our window so it would open more than two inches and we had a HORRIBLE sleep with the noise (think trains) and smoke coming in from the outside. When we left the next morning, staff were very unsympathetic and refused to even apologize for the situation. Will never stay in a Novotel again . . .

Novotel Kayseri, Cappadoccia,Turkey

Pros: It`s a modern hotel with very good service.
Cons: Not allowing for hotel personnel to get a commission for the amount the taxi driver will charge you.(This happens in most of Turkey`s good hotels)
Location: Novotel is a short taxi drive to the airport.You can use the airport shuttle service back and forth to Goreme,Cappadoccia or take a bus(station near).
Very nice hotel, with very good restaurant service, great location to visit Cappadoccia (a 45 minute drive), and not spend too much money.In Turkey, you need to be able to bargain because I feel people in the tourism business are extremely ambitious so they will try to charge as much as they can. If you take a taxi find out before what would be reasonable to pay and ask the taxi driver before you get in how much he will charge. The problem is that most taxi drivers in Turkey don`t speak English very well so it can sometimes be difficult to communicate with them. If you ask the hotel people for help it might not really help because you can tell that some will probably get a commission on what you spend. Although there was a young woman who works at the front desk of this Novotel who was very helpful because she recommended for us to go take a taxi to the bus station and then a bus to Goreme which we did and this was a great experience and not too expensive. On our way back to the hotel, we used the airport shuttle and a taxi. The next day instead of taking a group tour, we bargained with a taxi driver and got a tour of the southern part of Cappadoccia and the last day we bargained with another taxi driver to give us a tour of the northern part and back to the airport . It was great !!! If you are ever in Turkey, don`t miss Cappadoccia. It is spectacular and unique in the world!!!!! You should spend a minumun of 2 nights.

Perfect for a late arrival or early departure

Stayed at the Ibis and the Novotel and the Novotel was incredible and well worth the few dollars more. Great staff, very modern, perfect place to stay for an early morning departure or late night arrival from ASR. Roughly 15 turkish lira to the airport and about a 6 minute driive.
