Beautiful Hotel! Great Stay!!
Absolutely loved this hotel. Our room was really beautiful and very comfortable. The room was like a small apartment with two full bathrooms a living room and stairs that led up to a loft bed, all it was missing was a kitchen lol. We had a balcony that we could walk out and enjoy the view of the Island of Capri and the ocean. The staff were very friendly and the free breakfast was very nice. The location of this hotel is right in the center of Capri. I recommend highly and will definitely stay again.

Good for one night trip
Easy access from main center and shopping area. Great view to island and water. Can be noisy to light sleeper. Not so good with shower area due to towel bars right next to your face.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful in taking our luggage to the room to giving us advice on where to dine and visit. We had a lovely room overlooking the port and a balcony to soak up theon-going's of the street below.

I stayed at this hotel for a total of 8 nights. The room we originally booked was a city-view room. When I checked in, the hotel staff upgraded us to an beautiful oceanview room. The room was so awesome and from the balcony I can see crystal clear blue sea. Loved it! The room itself was very clean. During my 8 day stay here, hotel staff were so helpful and very friendly. I loved my stay there!

Good location, excellent view.
The view from the balcony was beautiful. The location was very good and very close to shopping. The staff was very distant and cold and not personable but that doesn't affect my choice when I pick a hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel itself was very spacious. The hotel doesn't have an elevator l so if that's a problem for you, you should bring it up before you book the hotel to see if they can accommodate you. If you depend on Wi-Fi it could be a problem. One problem I did have was when the staff called for a cab, which by the way was located less than a block away. When we arrived, we paid one price. Since the staff offered to call the cab when we were leaving, I expected to be charged the same price to return to the ferry. The taxi driver charged us an additional $10 Euros and told me that we had to pay more because of the phone call. In addition, it was never even brought up until I asked the driver when we were already in the car and moving. The staff never mentioned it and had we known, there was absolutely no reason to have him call since we only had to walk 1/2 block away. We felt we were taken advantage of. Beware!

Nice Hotel overlooking the Marina Grande
Hotel staff was extremely helpful. They upgraded my girlfriend and I from the Annex to the main building with a room that overlooked the Marina Grande and the Italian coast line. Standard rate for a taxi was about 15 to 20 euro.

Convenient location
It was only a few minutes walk from the funicular, and it was close to the bus stop. It was very easy to find and made the walk with luggage bearable. Staff was great. They were always nice and friendly. We stayed in a standard room with a balcony. I could see how someone could get upset with the street noise outside, but we didnt mind, and we love to people watch. Bear in mind there is no elevator, but staff so kindly took our bags to the room. I do have to say that the bed was the most uncomfortable we've slept in during our entire tour of Italy. That was the biggest negative I would say.

This was a phenomenal hotel!
This was a phenomenal hotel. The hotel staff was exceptional. It is in a superb location because you can actually take a taxi there, the city center and beyond hotels you cannot drive to. This is very accommodating if you have any luggage.

Great value in Capri
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Capri. The hotel is located near many stores and restaurants, and check-in was easy. The room was comfortable with a working AC, and our balcony overlooked the water. We would have liked to see more options for breakfast, but overall a great stay!

Great location on Capri. Top of the island, great views of the marina. Close to everything. Hotel staff was amazing and had great recommendations. Room was not anything special, but the breakfast room and common rooms were very nice. It was very hot when we visited and the air conditioning was awesome!

This hotel was in its heyday over a half century ago; today it is an ant-infested, shabby walkup. The management is unapologetically nasty and rude. If there are no other hotels to stay in on Capri, go another time, but don't subject yourself to this.

The best view in Capri
Our room was bright and airy with an amazing view and balcony. Furnishing were plain, and not much decor but the view was all you needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty consistent with the average italian fare of cold cheese and ham but they also had tomato slices, hard boiled eggs and an assortment of pastries. Located right near a main square, nice restaurant, and shops, it was far from the water but also outside of the main tourist area which was great.

Nice hotel and staff. Breakfast buffet was really nice! Lots of choices - mostly bread items but that's all European breakfasts. Room was clean. Bed was ok.

Great view of Capri port and affordable.
Had a great view of the port and mountains - well situated in the city. Staff very helpful. It's an older hotel but maintains much of the charm of yesteryear. And the price was right.

The room was very clean and beautiful view. the staff were good and The hotel location was within few minutes of bus stop & city center . We arrived at the Capri Grand Marina then we took the lift up to city center Copri and walked to the hotel.

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The Location is fantastic as it's only 10minutes from the ferry and close to all local shops and the bus station. The staff were so friendly and spoke to me every morning to try to help me plan my day. They also responded very quickly if I needed anything in my room (a lamp was broken and a shower head and they fixed it within hours!) I had a lovely balcony which overlooked the sea and the whole hotel had a calm and quiet feel which was very relaxing. Really pleasant hotel which I would definitely come back to and highly recommend.

Standard older European hotel
Hotel has newer bathrooms but older rooms. Wifi is horribly inconsistent, not working about 80% of the time after repeated requests to have it fixed by hotel staff. The bathrooms were not cleaned appropriately when we arrived and had to ask to have them cleaned. The walls are very, very thin and you can hear everything going on in the street.

Some positives and negatives to ponder
Positives: We had an amazing view, and I love how our windows in the room and washroom can be fully opened to let the breeze in. Good location and close to the centre of Capri, yet close enough to the supermarket in case you want to grab a few snacks. We also received a complimentary drink for two at the nearby snack/drinks bar. Front desk was very pleasant and always with a smile. Negatives: We stayed on the second floor, and the WiFi was very poor and slow. Painful trying to go online to find out more about attractions, etc. As well, the bed itself was old, and one can see the scruffs and tear on the bed frame. Two pillows were hard, and two were soft. The restaurant recommended by the front desk was disappointing, as it was expensive and nothing special - perhaps more of a Capri thing than their fault. Lastly, the free breakfast in the morning wasn't spectacular and disappointing for a hotel of this stature and cost.
