Bright, modern hotel, a bit far from La Cite

Pros: Staff, cleanliness, facilities. Comfortable lounge/bar area just off reception.
Cons: No suggestions. Everything was fine.
Location: Hotel is located at one end of slightly shabby small retail park Location is very convenient for getting in to La Cite, especially if you have a car.
Very happy with hotel condition, facilities and staff. Other reports had indicated that hotel is 15-20 minutes walk from La Cite but it's at least 20 and not through an interesting part of Carcassonne, so walk can get a bit tedious if staying more than a couple of days. Our party of 4, pretty fit, 65+ year olds resorted to getting a taxi in on a couple of evenings - cost approx €13. Few places to eat in immediate vicinity. Didn't eat dinner in hotel. Food is reputed to be good but restaurant area lacks ambience - fine for breakfast.

Location is terrible. You definitely need a car. Bathroom needed a good scrub. Plumbing needed work. Shower blocked and overflowed. Noise from other rooms including toilet. Although I'd prepaid , I moved to the Terminus Hotel which was much better located, clean and friendly

Pros: Comfort, Food, Staff and overall ambiance
Cons: Not a lot for the price
Location: Swimming in local lake, see earlier, The Old City of Carcassonne
Stayed there one night, Check in and out was very good, All the staff were cheerful and very pleasant. The room was quiet and comfortable and overlooked the rear carpark so was quieter than the front would be. We had an evening meal and were very pleased with the quality, variety and price. A most enjoyable meal with a help yourself starter buffet which had plenty of choice, a choice of mains to order and then a really good selection of deserts to choose from(You could have more than one!!) We then watched the Euro 2016 final in the comfortable lounge area but keeping a low profile as we wanted Portugal to win!!! It was 37degrees when we arrived in the afternoon and the receptionist pointed us to a lovely lake about 10mins away where we had refreshing swims in a great setting

Pros: Quiet location. Pleasant but simple furnishings. Wi-fi and parking. Meals. Price.
Location: Need car to drive to the historical attractions but plenty of parking and not expensive.
Pleasant and reasonably-priced hotel. Plain but comfortable room. Nice food. Need car as hotel is located in a new development on the outskirts of the town. Must drive and park for the historical Cite. Free wi-fi and parking.

Pros: Proximity to old city. Price. Helpful staff.
Cons: No major complaints.
Location: Near the old walled city of Carcassonne.
Modern, clean hotel with good price and helpful staff. We walked to the old city every day though there is bus service nearby. The medieval city is visible from the hotel. If you are in ok shape, it is no problem. Not the easiest walk, especially at night after walking through the city all day. There is some graffiti in the neighborhood and bars on the windows of the houses, so we were a bit wary but had no trouble. Wifi was good and reliable. Very satisfied.
