WoW!!!!! Excellent location, excellent room!

Posted Jun 4, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to the Cité, yet Aldo close to the Bastide
Perfect hotel, perfectly located, close to fortifications, yet close enough to visit the Bastide on foot. Our host as a pure delight, so nice and helpful!! I strongly recommend this place. For me, it was the best hotel in Carcassonne!

Great little hotel for a short break.

Posted Apr 15, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast, spotless room, peaceful garden.
Location: Plenty to do over a long weekend: citadel, bike rides along the Canal du Midi, shops & market, strolls by the river, numerous restaurants.
Enjoyed a 3 night stay. Easy to find hotel (5 mins) having got 'navette' airport bus into town. Hotel is in a great spot just below the citadel though close to the bridge to walk into town. Bustling Saturday market, array of cafes and restaurants.

Boutique hotel just below the Citadel.

Posted Apr 8, 2017
Pros: The hotel is a refurbished historic building. Our room had character, beams, quaint windows & amazing views.
Cons: A lift, even if small, would be helpful.
Location: Located in the Main Street up to the citadel with many restaurants & bars. There are a couple of little mini-markets also for basics & a bread shop.
Historic building which is being beautifully modernised in 3 stages. Very comfortable beds & very stylish ensuites. Lashings of hot water, heated towel rails, hairdryer & shower/shampoo gel provided. Can recommend the top floor rooms although climbing the stairs is good exercise & not for the elderly & infirm!!

Perfectly located, small hotel.

A lovely little boutique hotel nestled just below the medieval city of Carcassonne. Convenient for both the old city itself and for a short stroll to the new town, reached by crossing the River Aude by way of a very old footbridge (hence the name of the hotel)! Decor not up to much, but my room was very spacious and clean and represented very good value for money. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially the owner (well, at least I assume that's who she was).
