Big Sleep CardiffPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: It could do with a really thorough re-decoration and some furniture in the rooms.
Location: It was a rugby day and it is very well situated.
The hotel is very much a budget hotel, really close to the Millenium Stadium and Cardiff City centre. We stayed on the night of a World Cup rugby match and the hotel was ridiculously overpriced.

Basic hotel however...Posted Sep 20, 2015
Basic hotel however it is very much worth the cost. It's super clean. Close to all the food and shop. I would stay there again if needed.

Decent cheap hotel centrally locatedPosted Sep 14, 2015
In a great location so easy to walk back from centre of town. Clean and spacious room, and good but basic breakfast.

Central in the middle of cardiffPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed. Friendly staff
Location: Opposite motorpoint arena and near plenty of places to eat and shop
Alright to get your head down. Not the cleanest place and probably wouldn't stay again. It attracts noisy drunken clientele who want somewhere cheap. Hotel staff attempted to deal with this situation but were not very successful.

Advertising MisleadingPosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: The Reception staff
Cons: Decoration, update, change curtains, offer English Breakfast
Location: Central location, walking distance to Cardiff which is a great city. Great shops, cinema, eating out & historical places ie Castle
I guess you do get what you pay for but Premier Inn/Travelodge have this sector sorted. The main complaint is the website is massively misleading about what the hotel is like. Yes the reception area is good & the staff I met were excellent & very friendly but entering the room we were greeted by fake fur curtains & just about basic accommodation. Myself I didn't expect much & it was overall clean but my son expected what was on the website. Don't expect any extras like a hairdryer or even a wardrobe & even sockets are scarce The Cardiff one I think really needs an update & get rid of the "teddy bear" brown curtains & I would pay extra for a better breakfast as only continental offered but it is central to Cardiff so convenient I suppose. Also parking - You have to pay. I'm afraid based on my stay I wouldn't stay in The Big Sleep hotel again.

Close to station, shops, restaurants & opposite Motorpoint arena. Very basic, but for the price it was good value for money. All you can eat continental breakfast included in price.

Great for people on a budget!Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Value for money.
Cons: Bathroom needed a revamp.
Location: Hotel very easy to find. Centrally located near shops and restaurants.
On arrival lady on reception was warm and welcoming . Was very helpful when we enquired about directions for the next day. Room was clean but basic. Beds comfortable and linen clean and fresh. Why do bathrooms always look neglected? But at least nice fluffy towels. No air con so was a bit hot but 2 fans were supplied which helped overnight. Continental breakfast included in the price had fruit, cereal, yoguart, toast, croissants, juice, tea and coffee. Amazing value for money.Excellent for an overnight stay, say to go shopping.
