Hotel with awesome gardens.

Posted Jun 28, 2017
Pros: Out of town and nice and quiet.
Cons: Was happy with everything provided.
Location: Out of town in the middle of a golf course. Easy to get into town if you have a car.
We were there on the weekend of the Champions League Final in Cardiff. Staff were great to deal with. Plenty of parking onsite and close to the city centre.

One night stay

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Pleasant surroundings friendly staff and high standard of cleanliness
Cons: Building and decor rather tired but not to the detriment of hotel in general.
Location: N/a
A quiet night so good nights sleep. Good breakfast. Near enough to Cardiff for our purpose-Rugby World Cup.

Good experience overall

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Price Quiet Leisure & Spa Facilities
Cons: In need of a spruce up
As other reviewers have said this hotel is in need of some TLC; it is looking tired in places but is clean with receptive staff and the food was lovely. You do need to get taxi's to get into Cardiff if you do not have a car but for the price we paid it still worked out cheaper than staying in the city centre.

Accommodation whilst on a Rugby Match stay over

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Nice rural location outside Cardiff. Taxi costs about £15 into the city or a £2 bus ride just a short walk up to the top entrance of the hotel.
Cons: Its probably long overdue some major re-furbishment, must have been fabulous during its heyday but don't let that put you off.
Location: As above, taxi or bus into town where there are numerous things to do.
Stayed here twice before. All in all clean and comfortable. Previously have been a bit disappointed by the breakfast. Too little and you cannot help yourself even though its laid out as buffet style. This time breakfast was cooked for me as not many people in. It was fabulous. For Room was just over £100 which was reasonable but I see they have raised general rates now from £95 to £135 which is disappointing.

Great location

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Poor
Cons: Main hotel being old is what you would expect but rooms outside of main building need a stick of dynamite and redesign
Location: Good location for Cardiff
Stayed in units outside main hotel. To the eye not a good look to say the buildings look tired is a massive understatement dog kennel come to mind not a good impression before you open the door. Internally clean but seriously outdated only plus bed was comfortable

Good nights sleep. Nice and quiet. Out of the way but close enough to the Cardiff City Centre
