Nice hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2018
I was pleasantly surprised with Day's Inn by Wyndham. We have stayed at Days Inns. They were always dirty and not pleasant. This is the first one we have stayed in in recent years. Days Inns have come a long way. We will not avoid them in the future.

The bed was hard and the front desk personnel is incompetent. I called the morning after I was suppose to check out and let them know I was needing one more night. The girl took all my information and told me I was good to go for one more night. During the day the evening guy called and said he was kicking me out of my room for non payment. Get a grip people...communicate do not assume. Needless to say I got my room. Oh and btw do not try to make me feel bad by telling me that you had to send someone walking because of me. This was the front desk that messed up.

My Yeti cool (chained and locked) was stolen from

Posted Mar 18, 2018
My family and I were in town on spring break and stayed here. I didn't think much of it, because who in there right mind is going to steal a 170 qt. cooler weighed down with ice, water, drinks, and food. And yes, the tailgate was locked and both sides of the Yeti were locked down with heavy chains and heavy master locks. After reporting the theft and watching the hotel security cameras I know who. At 8pm a truck drives thru the parking lot without stopping, surveying and scheming. Then at 11:40 they return in their newer model white Ford 4 door pickup, with shiny rims no doubt. The "thug life"mexicans(yes you could tell) park next to my truck and one guy gets out with bolt cutters and cuts both locks without too much effort. Then the other guy pulls forward and they struggle(scrawny pathetic gang bangers) getting the cooler over the sides. But they eventual manage(they crossed a desert and swam the rio didn't they). The hispanic staff weren't too impressed either, not implying that they were in on it. But they certainly weren't impressed. Management wasn't very empathetic either. So beware, "thug life" in the area.

Close to caverns

Posted Mar 12, 2018
Friendly staff, hotel is close to the caverns and good enough to sleep. Only drawback is paper thin walls and hairs stuck on linens from laundering, but clean.
