Good Value

Pros: Good value for the money. Huge pool. Unfortunately, there was no water in it. Maybe because it was still March and too cold for water activity.
Cons: Two light bulbs were out. We called the desk but they were never replaced. As a result, the room was not as bright as I would have liked
Location: Great location. Near the caverns. Near restaurants. Near the river.
This hotel deserves better than a 2.5 rating. It's actually priced fairly when compared to other hotels in Carlsbad. The place has been recently renovated. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The shower was the best I've ever experienced in any hotel---wow, what amazing water pressure. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. They had bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, fruit salad, etc---definitely enough to get you started.

Best Bang for your Buck!

Location: Stay here if you want to do Carlsbad Caverns! About a 30 minute drive to White's City
This was the cheapest rooming we could find, yet it was a great nice stay. Comfortable bed, good size room, and the bathroom worked well. There has been a recent remodeling.

I was very surprised from reading the other reviews. I expected a not so nice room, but was better then expected. Everything worked and was clean except for the bath tub. it could of used a little more attention. But all in all, very pleased.

Pros: Location was good.
Cons: See comments above.
Location: The caverns were close by, maybe 20 mins down the road.
Facilities are run down. Needs updating in the rooms, the toilet was coming loose from the floor and the shower drain was completely loose.

Located close to caverns

Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast, but I wish they would have high chairs or booster seats for kids. Our non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke and we were offered to change the room. We chose to stay in our room, but hotel staff came and sprayed the room with febreeze. It helped a little bit. Nice bar on site. Make sure the personal vehicles are locked outside all the times. Two cars were broken in on the parking lot in front of the hotel. Police came and talked to the guests. Rooms are ok, clean, little bit outdated, our bathroom faucet was broken, we had hard time to turn water off and on. Hotel is located on the Main Street, 20 min away from the caverns.

I am sorry to hear that the non-smoking room you stayed in had a hint of smoke. It is really sad that other guest would disregard our policy causing inconvenience to other guests. Cockroaches

We checked in around 3:00 pm went to the room and it looked decent. We left and went to see family got back at 10:30 pm and went to the restroom and there were small roaches. I put my drink on the night stand and saw more small roaches on the night stand. I moved the night stand away from the bed and there were big roaches on the wall. We loaded the car and went to another hotel. Unfortunately I booked a non refundable reservation so I cannot get refunded. I am disappointed with the stay but not much you can do about it. I will definitely never book a prepaid stay again.

When we checked in it was late and it was cold so as soon as we entered the room we turned on the heather we gave it chance to warm up but was blowing out cold air . Went to front desk they switched us to another room and same thing happened! So again switched us to the another room! I wouldn't have minded but I had my family with me and it an inconvenience to have to pack up my family and move 3 times! We were cold, tired and hungry!!!!

Ok for the price

Bed was too soft. If I'd had a couple more pillows it probably would have been better. The continental breakfast did not offer anything hot. Even oatmeal would have been welcome. We ended up going to a fast food place for breakfast. Next time ill pay a bit more to have better amenities.
