Decent hotel for the price, clean., nice looking.

Pros: price and for what it is, it was okay
Cons: be very up front with payment method.
Location: a little out of the way but again the price was okay.
Our only issues was not being told up front about the "charge' to your card to see if you can pay. They charge your debit and you will not get that money back for 2 weeks, they also tried to charge the entire amount which puts a hold on your card. Then you have to pay the bill and they have double payment until they give it back to you (2 weeks) We have decided not to stay there for the next 3 months that we are in town.

needs improvement

1. Exhaust fan did not work in bathroom, had to leave bathroom door open so hygiene items, etc. would not be damp. Reported this and was not fixed. Stayed 4 nights. 2. Left to tour around 10am returned to room 9pm. Room had not been cleaned, no fresh towels. Evening manager did give us clean towels. Stated did not clean room because "do not disturb" sign was on door. It was on door between 8a-10a, but removed sign when left the room. 3. Back door propped open entire day, manager stated guest leaving it propped open for their visitors convenience. our room was located near this door and did not feel safety of other guest was protected.

Dont be fooled

We rarely rate rooms, But in this case we felt it was necessary. After reading many reviews giving it 4 out of 5 stars we thought this would be a good purchase. Upon arriving at our first room smelled like smoke, even though it was labeled as non smoking. We switched rooms, and the second room smelled musty and was not clean. The hotel is worn down, they had multiple towels laid out in the hallways where the carpet was soaking wet, our bathroom door was warped so badly that it wouldn't even close, the paint was peeling in the room, and the carpet was stained in multiple locations. The staff was helpful, and kind.

I am sorry that we did not live up to what you were expecting. I do hope you informed someone about the condition of your second room also. All of our rooms are non smoking but, people still break the rules. The thing with the towels was due to an air conditioner leaking. Centrally located, quiet Hotel

Pros: Large room; Adequate buffet; friendly staff; quiet.
Cons: WiFi connectivity.
Location: Centrally located.
Large room for 2 adults and 2 children; centrally located for surrounding tourist attractions (Carlsbad Caverns/Roswell Alien Festival); buffet breakfast with nice selection of options, inc. eggs , meats, breads, cereals, juices, etc. Quiet even during July 4th celebrations. Close to FLETC Academy.

The floor in the room had stains and the sheets had spots of blood and on the side of the bed on the shams had spots the room smelled horrible... I had reservations for a king size bed and they gave me two queens even though I went to speak to the associate at the front desk he said all rooms are same charge instead of asking if I wanted to move even with the room smelling and in dirty conditions I will spread the word that hotel sucks in all aspects very dissatisfied

over night on the go

over all...a really nice stay. Everything was clean however some parts of the room/fitness center/lobby were old or not functional. The breakfast area was too small....we checked back twice to see if a table was available to eat at...good thing we weren't on a tight schedule

Nice hotel.

This hotel was in a great part of town with restaurants close by. Breakfast was acceptable with many options.

Everything was wonderful except the bed was a little below standard. The bathroom had hair in the bathtub, but otherwise very nice.

Nice hotel in nice area

Pros: We were close to lobby, breakfast area and downtown.
Cons: Shower and vanity were separate. Just wish they would put soap in the shower and the vanity area, since they were separate areas.
Location: Nice little town
Stayed for two nights while we visited Carlsbad caverns. The hotels in Artesia were much more affordable than Carlsbad. Hotel was clean and folks were friendly and accommodating. Did not have breakfast but was available.
