Not for the working business traveler

Posted Aug 6, 2015
The room isn't set up well for a business traveler. Although there is a good size desk area its almost impossible to use since you need to pull the rollout desk out from under the counter to use it and there is so little space between the counter and the bed there is no room for the desk, the chair, and the person sitting in the chair. Very poor layout There is another chair at the opposite end of the room that is very oddly placed. I can't imagine anyone sitting in it. Ever. Other than that, nice bed, nice reading lights, nice bathroom

Pros: room itself, eatery was pleasant, transit close to hotel,
Cons: Pool was small. One of the amenities I searched for was a pool, but after taking a walk down to it, after checking in, I changed my mind in swimming.
Location: We took a drive to the neighboring towns to check out the night life..i.e. Lyndhurst, Kearny and saw some shops and ate at a restaurant. off of rt.17
The hotel experience overall was lovely, but the pool size was more like the size of a hot tub. I didn't know a pool could be that small. Eatery was enjoyable. Staff kept the goodies well stocked. Room was comfortable. Bedding is to die for! The hotel is very close to the bus stop to go to NY. It is also close to restaurants and shopping and the neighborhood in case you want to explore.

Very comfortable, very clean, 1 bus ride to NYC

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The bed and pillows. So comfy
Cons: The walk to bus stop. Looks like your walking threw an abandon part of town.
Location: Nothing near by.
The hotel is a short bus ride right into the city. The breakfast included was very reasonable. the pool was very small, we didn't use it. The staff was not exactly cheerful but not rude either. I would totally go back.

Great hotel, close to NY

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Everything. The breakfast was very good. Eggs, meat, bread, bagels, danish, cereal, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate - and more.
Cons: The seating at breakfast was tight, but it was a Saturday and I went when everyone else did.
Location: I attended a concert at Bergen Performing Arts Center. I understand that there is a nearby bus that takes you into the city too.
This was my first visit to a Holiday Inn Express hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was nicely decorated, as was my room. They provided different kinds of pillows for your comfort, a blackout shade, and my room had a microwave and fridge with a freezer. The bed was very comfortable and they provided reading lights over each bed.

Hotel was fine but very smelly area.

Posted Jun 16, 2015
The hotel seem to be located in an industrial area. The air smelled like sewer or trash. Not sure what it was but with the heat it was bad.

Good hotel to stay

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and friendliness
Location: There are few outlets to shop 10 minutes away. Metlife stadium is pretty close. It was first time in the area.
This hotel was pretty good. I was in the area for a wedding and this hotel was close to it. It was easy checking in and out. Breakfast is good. Everything was clean. Staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay again.
