Not quality!Posted Sep 12, 2017
The rooms have no air conditioning and no ceiling fan so it is very stuffy. The bathroom fixtures are very cheap and low quality! The bathroom fixtures are different metals that do not match, the paint is peeling off the walls and off the shower curtain rack. The grout on the tile floor is very dirty. The window in the shower is difficult to open and feels unsturdy. Breakfast is included but it's very low quality. Everything is outdated. This place is not worth what they charge. I would not stay here again.

Overnight stop from Southern to Northern CalifPosted Aug 26, 2017
Cons: Update bathroom
Location: Restaurants and wine tasting rooms less than 5 minute walk from your room. The Carmel Plaza and a little market are both within 7 to 10 minutes away.
We have been coming to the Carmel area for 45 years and try to stay at different hotels and cities on the peninsula. Coachman' Inn is a quaint and charming motor inn in a wonderful location. Once you check in and park, you can walk everywhere. There is limited parking in their lot but later in the evening, quite a few spots open up on the streets surrounding the area. The check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was very nice and explained all the amenities, etc. We stayed on a Wednesday evening in August and they still provided a complimentary wine and appetizer event. Many places only offer that on the busier weekends. There is also a complimentary hot breakfast which was very tasty. The Queen bedroom was very cozy with a fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, television and free wi fi. There were two comfy chairs by the fireplace and also a small table with a couple of chairs. I wish the bathroom was a little more updated. There was no counter space and the flooring looked very tired. It was very clean and had nice amenities. Outside the rooms, there were wrought iron tables and chairs and little settees positioned throughout the property. I would definitely return here. That's the charm of Carmel. If you are looking for contemporary and modern and huge, head to Las Vegas.

Great location, Fantastic Included Breakfast!Posted Aug 23, 2017
This hotel is in a great location, it is old but charming. Would rate it a 5 if the bathrooms were updated. The staff is extremely pleasant & friendly. There is a hotel kitchen on site that prepares the most incredible free hotel breakfast we have ever had in any hotel - no need to wait at Katie's Place! This end of town was less congested than the beach end, but still walking distance.

nice hotelPosted Aug 22, 2017
Pros: very friendly staff.rooms very clean and spacious
Close to the beach and at the same time in the middle of town walking distance to many galleries and innumerable restaurants and interesting shops. Too short a stay to really appreciate all Carmel has to offer.

Great locationPosted Jul 3, 2017
We arrived early and the staff was extremely accomodating. Our room wasn't ready, but they kept our luggage for us and called when it was ready. When we arrived back, all of our belongings had been placed in our room.
Charming InnPosted May 25, 2017 on Hotels
Very European feel to the Inn --- small and cozy. There is parking, which is a huge plus. Also a free breakfast and a wine type happy hour (although we passed on both). The room was beautifully appointed and very quiet.

Very nice stay at Coachmen's Inn in Carmel.Posted Apr 18, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and well kept rooms, fireplace in the room, hot tub + sauna area, convenient location to Carmel shopping and beach.
Cons: 2-ply TP
Location: Shopping, art studios, restaurants and dog-friendly beach are within walking distance. Monterey and various other activities are a short drive away.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made you feel welcome, as if staying with friends. Nice little extras are the daily fresh-baked cookies, good complimentary breakfast, and the wine and horderves event on Saturday late afternoon (maybe other days too, not sure), which is a good time to chat with other visitors. The facilities were very nice and showed that they paid attention to details (popcorn bag ready to pop in the microwave). This was our anniversary and we just wanted to park the car and walk to the various shops, restaurants, etc, which we did, and we didn't have to start up the car until we left for home.
