Affordable and somewhat improved.Posted Sep 5, 2015
I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago for the third time. I must say that I noticed an improvement from the last couple of times that I stayed here. This time the room was clean and we didn't see too many people hanging around outside. If you are chosing this hotel for its "free breakfast" that is a joke. The selection is quite sad. They serve Tang instead of orange juice We slept comfortably enough in the bed. Overall I would say that for the price you're paying you can expect much more.

Really is the best value for the money!Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Excellent value for the price. Room is very clean and spacious. It has a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
Cons: There should ALWAYS be someone at the front desk. Also, the pillows were very uncomfortable.
Location: We come for the Cowtown Rodeo. There is also a bar right near the hotel called The Turnpike Inn where many of the cowboys hang out afterwards.
I am from NYC, and my friend and I stay here annually when we attend the Cowtown Rodeo. You can't beat it for the price. Of course, don't go in expecting a five star experience. However, for what it is, it will exceed your expectations if they are realistic. The rooms are spotless, and for the most part the staff is very helpful and friendly. The woman who checked us in at the front desk was wonderful. However, we had a really hard time checking out, because there was nobody at the front desk for over half an hour. We searched and shouted and even called on the phone with no luck. Finally two men came running to the desk and accepted our room keys. Aside from that inconvenience and the delay it caused, our stay went well.

only 3 pillows for king size bed. Doors kept open at my building, with no security measures. Parking lot & exterior hotel area needs major landscaping. Few other issues.

You could definately find nicer.Posted Jun 8, 2015 on Hotels
The carpet felt like it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time and there was a smoky smell in the hallway. Other than that it was ok.

We had a major issue with ants in the room. The manager, Amanda, was extremely nice and helpful and gave us some ant spray to take care of the problem.

I had my grandkids with me. We had been out all day and late getting back to hotel. Was going to give them each a bath until I saw the handful of long hair that floated off the drain because the bathtub hadn't been cleaned. There was a small pile of dirt that had been swept behind the bathroom door as well. Coffee maker and hair dryer didn't work and TV remote had bad batteries and wouldn't work. When I called the front desk for batteries the clerk acted like I might get them but might not... I didn't. This was the second room that night for me. The air conditioning didn't work in the first one. I didn't ask to change rooms again because the kids, ages 7 and 9 were exhausted and so was I. We just went to bed. I've stayed in this hotel many times on visits with family and it has never been or felt dirty until this trip. I won't stay there again... I loved the price, but this time I truly got what I paid for. Next time I'll pay more and stay somewhere else that is less convenient.
