Another disappointed local....

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Unfortunately I had choose to stay here over another place locally due to assuming that this hotel was being remodeled when driving by some time last year I noticed the parking lot closed off and it seemed to be worked on. I was in room 207 Friday night into Sat afternoon and I checked in after dark so I didn't notice a lot until we woke up and opened the blinds. There was unknown things on the carpet like it had not been vacummed from either the last guest or ??? The wood shelf in the bathroom I went to put my water on was warped and bubbles like it was damaged by heat or water so there was thick amounts of something that was in these pockets. Most disturbing was the brown splatter of another unknown something on the wall next to the sink that was brown as well as a thick hard red substance on the unused bathmat hanging over the tub. I wouldn't have mind paying the same amount as a nice casino with standards and policies of cleanliness if I had realized that this hotel was going to be as bad as the locals said it was.

Inexpensive place to stay centrally located to the

Posted Jul 29, 2016
Pros: The price and that it was 1 block from the 2 museums I wanted to take my kids.
Cons: The furnishings are old and the exterior could use a facelift and a beautification project like landscaping to be more attractive in daylight.
Location: Close to museums, casinos, and historic downtown ......unfortunately there was 24hr road construction occurring on the Main Street in front.
There's a reason the hotel pic is a night pic, it's ugly as hell. It was advertised as recently refurbished ....yeah in 1985! None of the furniture has been replaced. The only good thing about it was the price and that it was fairly clean.

Clean, updated room in town.

Posted Jul 25, 2016
Pros: Quiet in town room, very clean.
Cons: The drain in the shower would not stay in place, tilted to side when I turned on the water;)
Location: Walk to restaurants and the mint.
Very nice stay in a quieter, clean, updated room. Staff was very efficient. Would stay again.

OK place to sleep, not much to do in area.

Posted Jun 12, 2016
Pros: Location worked for us.
Cons: The place should be updated.
Location: Not much to do nearby, an old casino about a block away that was equally in need of a refurb.
We were driving through on way to Yosemite, the room was clean and the staff was pleasant. The place is old and dated, it is in the bottom half of the hotels we stayed in during our 11 day trip although it was priced near average.

The bed was comfortable. We slept well! However, there is construction very close by. It was noisy and most restaurants were close.

Nother clean! No housekeeping...?

Posted May 26, 2016 on Hotels
Awful. Walked into the room thinking..."well ok then, we can do this" but then in the bathroom was a dirty towel!I then proceeded to find an outlet to plug in my phone...and that's when I could tell they just didn't clean it or dust it. Probably ever! We were in town for a funeral, and so we left to attend that. When we came back with food...we went to put it in the fridge, and there was already food from someone else still in there!Gross! I felt like the room was just skipped over on tge housekeepers list. The front desk was very understanding however. Luckily the hotel gave us our money back, and we went somewhere else.

This hotel is a good value for a budget priced room. The room was clean and the property well maintained. It's conveniently located in the historic section and blocks away from the state capitol buildings. No breakfast included, but not expected at just $60 plus tax. In this price range this is a nice hotel.
