The staff expected us to let them know that we wanted our towels and room cleaned. The reason they gave was that due to the pandemic this was necessary. They never told us this when we checked in after we found no new towels.
Someone checked in with a big barking dog that barked for over 2 hours until 8 pm
The pool area can be crazy noisy if you are nearby.

The pool is due for a complete restoration. The pool was a motivating factor in choosing to stay here so seeing it looking not so great is disappointing. Another reason I chose to stay here is the breakfast so I hope that it is good.

Having free breakfast is mandatory wherever I stay, so I thought that was really nice, I had the gym to myself three times, had what it needed to get a nice workout in. Coffee 24/7 in the lobby was great to have, staff is relaxing and inviting, good views of the mountains. Good hotel for work trips.

Handicap accessible room not what you would expect
Nice hotel to stay at while visiting Carson City. We booked a handicap accessible room thinking it would be on the first floor close to the lobby. The room ended up being at the very end of the hall on the second floor which was a long way to go for a handicapped person. They explained that it was closer to the fire exit so that I’d have the convenience of carrying my 93 year old grandma down the stairs in the event of an emergency. I was hoping for a walk in shower but our room did not have one and the only difference is that the bathroom was bigger with a bar by the toilet. So beware of this if you are expecting a handicap accessible room to be more accessible. Our room did not have blackout curtains and was bright even at night. Other than that our stay was nice and the breakfast was really good.

Very rude and disrespectful front desk staff, specially a young guy with a mustache (I believe his name is Ti…..something, difficult to specify because none of them wear a name tag) thanks to his tardiness I missed my flight today because waiting in the front desk to check out for minutes. This is not to mention the Fitness center TV doesn’t have a remote because the staff doesn’t want to provide you with one, the card reader doors around the hotel don’t work, the rooms sanitation is extremely doubtful (toilets bowls stained and dirty) and the list goes….. Please look for options nearby (Hampton or Myplace) but double think before getting a room at Holiday inn, it’s not worth the money at all.

Friendly check in staff and property appears to be fairly new. At the North end of town near other lodging options and not near a walkable commercial district.
