Lake Tahoe is my favorite lake in the world. The northern section on the Nevada side is a bit more serene, away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos in the southern, California/Nevada border side. It's never lacking in sky drama, but sunsets here are ideal. There's also several beaches nearby if you're up for a swim or maybe you prefer to kayak your way into one of the boulder stacks. #blue Home when I'm very far away from home :) Alpenglow at North Lake Tahoe. Being a regular at Eastern Sierras, I often witness an optical phenomenon called Alpenglow. Lake Tahoe sits 6,000 feet above sea level. That's when you see something beyond the regular reds and oranges of a sunset...#colorful Pink hues and Magenta becomes part of the palette painting the skies. I'm going to make a bold assertion that Lake Tahoe is the most beautiful lake in the world. There, I said it. Red skies, burning water. My favorite place to shoot. North Lake Tahoe :) Watching the magic :) Boulder hopping at sunset in North Lake Tahoe. One fine day at Sand Harbour beach #springfun If I wanted to see an amazing sunset this is my go to place. 9 times out of 10...blazing skies! The dance of the pine cones in the clear waters of Lake Tahoe during an Alpenglow. Great therapy and sojourn to the soul. Sunsets like this are very common in the Eastern Sierras. The high elevation makes blazing skies a reality. #troveon #waterlust This view never gets old #hiking Bonzai Rock at North Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe Beautiful sunset at sand harbor beach. Spent most of my summer time here. I love Lake Tahoe. It's winter but here's a kayaker and a paddle boarder enjoying the lake. Only in Cali :) Beautiful very clear water lake. Sunset at Lake Tahoe. #waterlust Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! A water splash doesn't hurt. Keep Tahoe blue is the slogan. It's really blue :) I know what you're thinking. You want to Mario Bros on these boulders. Don't ya?
Tahoe on the Nevada Side of Incline Village boasts of a long shoreline of Sand. There were no lifeguards on their watchpoints because most of visitors are sun bathing, although the weather's warm, the waters of the Lake remain icy cold. #blue #beachbound #aquatrove Lake Tahoe with the Sierras in the background. #blue #beachbound North Lake Tahoe is line with these boulders. Beautiful lake to do just about anything from camping to swimming. The water is super clear. A must visit place if u ever go to California. Gotta pay $10 to park n swim here Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Waited for all the people to leave the beach, had the beach and the Milky Way all to myself.
#BvSAstro My Second Home, Sand Harbor State Park in Lake Tahoe
#BvSAstro Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! This dude appears to have waited too long for his lunch! Mine was excellent and came in a timely manner!!! I do hate having to wait. Stopped here in early spring to snap a photo because the water was so clear and beautiful. Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Nice little park near the lake by the boardwalk and beach to enjoy Incline Creek is Frozen. A beautiful spot to park and take in the scenery. There are restrooms available and a paved parking lot. When I knew my #TravelAssignment would be so close to #LakeTahoe I was stoked! Unfortunately, I had another #HeartAttack and #Surgery last #Friday but when you have a #BucketList and you're hard wired to live #exploring you go the moment you feel well enough! That was a week later! It was every bit #mesmerizing as I expected. I didn't take many pics, I chose to just enjoy every breath of fresh air and every sight of beauty! #TravelNurse #Adventure #Creole Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Nature at Tahoe Blvd Sand Harbor Beach - My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! Beautiful lake to do just about anything from camping to swimming. The water is super clear. A must visit place if u ever go to California. Beautiful very clear water lake. All shades of #blue at north Lake Tahoe My favorite spot in Lake Tahoe! This secluded gem of a place is situated right below Hwy 28, on the NV side of Lake Tahoe and had clear waters so inviting that I jumped in without thinking.. and got myself wet in the process. Lucky for me we had time for me to dry myself in the sun before heading to Reno =P This picture really didn't do the place much justice due to the overcast skies.. bet it would be lovely on a bright, sunny day!
[August '14] Sand Harbor was my favorite spot in all of Tahoe. The landscape is amazing, the bouldering is incredible and it was an amazing sunset.
I am so happy I decided to stop here and spend some time to explore and watch the sunset.
#LifeAtExpedia Temperature inversion over Lake Tahoe!
#TroveOnTuesday #Reflections Wilderness Lake Tahoe Tahoe at sunset. #beachbound Although there are nice beaches on the north side, we took a break taking a dip on the northwest shore of the lake. Nice spot, nice memories. Beautiful September day at Lake Tahoe
