They didn't let us check in until 6:30pm, room wasn't clean, food wasn't good, there was not a big variety of food or drinks. it wasn't worth it to pay all inclusive. I am never going back

We were in this place 11 years ago and the place was great... Now is horrible... Service was ok, but the place is super old...AC did not work properly. smells bad, the water in the shower didn't drain. The bartenders at the lobby bar, horrible super rude even that I am a good tipper. Some of the staff at the front desk Rude and don't know what they are doing I had to wait for Luis to help me, it was the only nice one. MAIN there is NO beach at front is under construction.

Its a very old property which is typical as Cartagena is historic. But the staff was very nice and the location is perfect as its in front of beach and a short taxi ride to the old city. The ala carte dinners were all very good and the poolside activities great

When I check in. I was given a room that was not even cleaned as yet but they gave me to keys to go up.. very disappointed when I went in the room very dirty. Very small, no closet space. The water barely ran to take a shower. The staff, very difficult to speak too because of the language barrier. Food was not great. You had to make reservations to eat breakfast, dinner and lunch very difficult because when you call to make reservations no on answers the phone.

Either Expedia or the Hotel fail to inform us about requiere documentation (other than Government issue ID cards) for checking when traveling with children so the checking process was long and stressful, which thanks to the collaboration and good attitude of the staff was possible. Other wise I would have cancelled and go to a different hotel. The hotel have different dinning options in the all inclusive but their reservation system is a nightmare. When you are on vacations the last thing you want to do is have to wake up early to try to ge online to try to reserve your restaurant spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner before the website crash. This was something that could also be inform and take care of prior arrival or don’t use any RVP system at all.

Lack of communication and unprofessional front desk staff, the other staff was great, I believe they need to work on their communication better for their guest especially for people that are not from that country! To be all inclusive that food wasn’t that great, I should have stayed at the Hilton. No mini fridge no ice machine, only one roll of toilet paper it’s ridiculous. Lack of communication regarding the pool towels there is no staff on site after 6pm if you do not physically hand the towels to the staff they will not let you check out, they closed the front doors on me like I wanted to steal their towels they would have known if staff member that was present the next days saw towels on their area they could have run the cameras to see what guests Turned in their towels not hold them hostage! Unprofessional!!! I would advice read a book on how to communicate better and be more professional. Communication is an important key in any business that you run!!! Very disappointing, I’m on vacation not there to tell you to watch the cameras and see. That’s YOUR job not mines!

My group and I had a nice time. There is one suggestion I would like to make. There should be a requirement that your employees have a working command of the English language. There should be more than a handful of people who can communicate with your English speaking guests. The entertainment was all in Spanish. My group had a nice time because we had someone who spoke Spanish fluently.

We came early to the hotel, we know checking is at 3 pm but they do not give the bracelet until room is available, so was unable to eat in the hotel and we have to go out to the nearby restaurant to buy food, room as able at 5 pm. We got vacations to other places and if we are early always have bracelet they hold the luggage and we can eat in the buffet. Well this was a very bad experience .

Worse hotel I had been, the experience was nothing of what I had expected, I been to Decameron before in Panama City and it was way different. I would never recommend this hotel ever again. The WiFi was only in the lobby and from the 5 days I was there the internet was down 4 days, you would have to make reservation for dinner or else you wouldn’t be able to eat.

Not an easy check in
Horrible check in forgot to print the Expedia voucher and at 6pm no guest computer(closed) was send to an Internet cafe which was also closed. When I returned I was asked to email it but no luck an 1 1/2 later they took me to an office next to check in and a 2 min later which took me to sign in a print the voucher they had what they needed it. I woundered why they did not do that from the beginning. Checkin staff not helpful and rude. Cartagena experience magicali would go back in a heart beat but not to this hotel. Many negative factors not just with checking.

Not what I expected.
I'm not a picky traveler. But I want if I pay- the customer service is horrible at the front desk and all around. I think it might be a culture thing. But they have to understand that they have to treat the guest a bit better. I've traveled all over and this country by far has been the most disappointing. The food was ok. The room didn't always get done. Provided very few towels. Hats off to Joel in the dinning area. He was pleasant and always asking if we needed anything.

I got to the hotel at 5:00 PM and couldn't get anything to eat, because they only offer breakfast an lunch until 3:00 pm. In order to get Dinner you have to make reservations the day before. There is no swimming pool, since is being renovated. You must take a bus to go somewhere else. I ended up having dinner at a restaurant outside twice. Personnel, however is excellent. Service is great. If I ever went back it would be because of their employees. They made mi feel good.

Don't bother staying at this hotel
What I didn't like. 1. The front desk people very rude and disrespectful at check in. 2. Kept asking for an iron and finally got one on my third day and then I have one out to use it. 3. They use cheap liquor so drinks are horrible. They were so horrible I had to go out everynight to get drinks. 4. They refuse to give you glass cups and give you plastic cups the size of salt and pepper shakers when you order drinks. 3. They only give you two towels. 4. You have to make dinner reservations every other day. The only times they give you are 630pm and 830pm. 5. They only give you one bottle of water for the day. I stay at hotels all over the world and I never had this problem. 6. Even though they give you free Wifi it's slower then AOL and you have to log back in every single time. It's is also only offered in the lobby. 7. The pool area is very small and it's just looks dirty. No one comes around to pick up used cups. 8. They don't have stools around the bar area. 9. You can't leave the hotel without some trying to sell you fake Cubans and T-shirts. 10. Not related to the hotel, but I was short changed many times by vendors and bars. Make sure you have correct change. They even charged me more for a beer and told a Colombia couple they gave me the grongo price. 11. You have to share tables with complete strangers when you eat your meals. You don't even do that when you vacation in Mexico. 12. The elevators are hott, very slow.
