4 night stopover in CartagenaPosted Nov 28, 2015
Hotel was in one of the most attractive streets in Cartagena, close to a lovely square with good but inexpensive restaurants. We ate in several and could not fault any. 3 Banderas is in an ideal spot. It had heaps of character and the staff were sooo helpful!

Nice Charming HotelPosted Nov 25, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, charm.
Cons: There are no rooftops, so when it rains the hallways get wet. But they lent us umbrellas and we used them around the city all day.
Location: Close to restaurants, shopping, and street entertainment by the square up the block.
Hotel was very nice and located in the middle of it all. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Very charming inside and outside, keeping the charming decor of the local streets. All the staff was so nice and friendly, we felt like the only people there. I think the small size makes it more personal.

Exquisite HotelPosted Jul 3, 2015 on Hotels
We had a wonderful time here! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are stellar and the staff is amazing. The hotel is within walking distance from all the sights in the old city. There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby. Be sure to try out La Cevicheria, which is right around the corner from Hotel 3 Banderas. Amazing seafood!!! We will go back to Cartagena, and will book with hotels.com to stay at this hotel again.

ExperiencePosted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: My first impression of the hotel from the outside was wow it looks very small. Gentleman opens gate and greets us in and wow! Huge inside, gorgeous.
Cons: Kinda hard to point out what needs improvement, i was barely in the Hotel and when i was there staff did an amazing job. Very organized.
Location: Location is great, you have various restaurants around the area, money exchange places, Exito kinda like a Publix and beautiful historical areas.
I mean besides the hotel being great, Cartagena is a beautiful place not just in the Historical area. which was great, but i saw a lot of the tourist didn't know where to go. But there is so much to see and do in Cartagena. Boca Grande, Playa Blanca, Isla Rosario, Baru, Historical Center(Downtown) Clubs, lounges, and bars(Avenida Media Luna). Also when going to the beaches make sure to not get ripped off i saw a lot of tourist getting ripped off and i warned them to stay away from the massage ladies, guys selling crabs or fish(they tend to give it to you, don't even grab it). Like its understandable they're doing their job but it gets really annoying. I'm colombian myself and trust me i know their real intentions. Other than that i had a blast you can literally roam the streets at 2am and nothing will happen to you(Historical Center) don't try it anywhere else haha!

Hotel bien ubicado dentro de la ciudad amurallada lo que permite recorrerla en su totalidad, rico desayuno. Las habitaciones un poco pequeñas. En general recomendable.
