Hotel was clean, staff was super friendly and helpful. Neighborhood was a mess (due to holidays). Room's security box didn't work and we never got hot water in the shower. Open ceiling above bathroom allowed for too much noise from the street to be heard.

Casa Lola is beautiful, I highly recommend it. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food in the restaurant is delicious. I absolutely love their piña coladas. Would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately our stay with Casa Lola was disappointing. The room was dark, musty and dirty. We found cockroaches in the room multiple time during our stay. We did mention about cockroaches to front desk and we were asked to speak with manager next morning about cockroaches. The front desk did not offer to change room or offered any help. Plus, language barrier makes it difficult to communicate. We booked this place based on previous good reviews and location however, both failed. Location- this hotel is in Gestamani neighborhood which is not inside the wall. You will have to cross sketchy street to get to old city so it’s better to stay inside the old city. Another disappointing fact is Expedia has this hotel as VIP, which makes me not want to believe in Expedia VIP anymore. The few good things- good breakfast, few friendly staff and plants around the breakfast area. I would not recommend this hotel, we ended up spending most of our time out of the hotel. There are better option in old city.

Had a great stay here, it felt like staying in a artsy green mansion. Rooms were spacious with high ceilings and well decorated. Staff was helpful and attentive. Area outside was busy with vendors and crowds, but we liked the excitement, and even the front most room was quiet.

Amazing Stay.
This was amazing stay. A true hidden gem in the city! Walking distance from many shops and eateries. I will return soon. The hotel provided me with reasonable upgrades which included the presidential suite. This place comes highly recommended.

We wanted to like this hotel and acknowledged good potential, but I did not like it and will not return Good Nice gem feeling decor Comfortable mattress Breakfast (many choices, long hours) Bad Room very small Run down and some not properly working Bugs. A lot of ants and found a roach in room Excessive noise during the night Pool bar never opened We requested to change the room bec of loud music at night and toilet didn't flash right. Door knob had sharp nail sticking out and that hurt my husband hand once. Next room was even smaller with tiny tiny bathroom, and there are a lot of ants and got huge bug bites during the night. Small leaks throughout in bathroom which we didn’t even mention it anymore as we were leaving next day. Perhaps we got bad luck for the rooms we were assigned but will not return. We stayed during the weekend but pool bar was never opened. Staff was nice. Spa was good. Food was ok.

This hotel is located in the Getsemani district of Cartagena which is incredibly artsy. We visited with our teen and had a blast! The staff were incredible and helpful with all of our planning.

This hotel is a little hidden gem in the Getsemani area of the walled city. Definitely something to consider if you want a unique experience away from the cookie cutter high capacity hotels. The rooms are all unique and I appreciate the design and feel. If there's a specific room design you want from the pictures, I guess it would be good to try requesting it ahead of time. Ours was in a bit of a noisy area between the two eating areas but things quiet down and it didn't bother us when it was time to sleep. My only complaint was that there was a window next to the stairs up to the pool with a semi transparent curtain - not sure how much privacy we had there depending on the lighting conditions. The rooftop pool area has several semi private sections to hang out in. I didn't even notice the different areas the first time dropping in. The hotel restaurant was good and the overall environment was great to hang out in. The main front staff was friendly and were able to speak with us in English.

Great location but some problems
We rented 4 rooms. They were all dark, windowless, and small with a strong odor. We never had hot water in one of the rooms even though we complained to the hotel staff. Otherwise, the location was great and the hotel was stunningly beautiful.

Staff super friendly. They make you feel at home. For Colombian standard, maybe breakfast can be improved. The dinner restaurant is good and so nice when they bring special topical dancers to bring more ambient in the restaurant. Nice setting and Getsemany is coming more nicer now. The city is improving this area. Good. Others options for people.

Nice boutique hotel

We stayed 3 of our 6 nights here. Design details were really nice however our room was anything but a 4 star. Sink clogged, little to no hot water..at all. Enjoyed the rooftop pool/lounge area and visit to the restaurant (food was really good) but will stay elsewhere when we return. Stayed the first three nights several blocks over in a 3 star and it blew this hotel away in every way. Neighborhood is definitely a party scene so if that’s what you are looking for and don’t care so much about cost and quality of your room, this is your place.

Excellent. However, go in with eyes wide open.
We loved it. Unique property in the best part of town. Be aware: 1. We had repeated trouble with the toilet. The mechanism was broken and the plumber didn't fully fix it. We survived with an open tank to flush it. 2. The shower drain backed up a few times and caused a minor overflow. 3. The loft area in our suite had a staircase only suitable for the nimble. On the positives: 1. The staff is excellent. Helpful and attentive. 2. The location is amazing. 10 minutes to the walled city. 15 minutes to the marina. 20 minutes to Castle san Fernandez. Getsemani is itself a super cool neighborhood with bars (Cafe Havana is on the corner half a block away), and good, cheap restaurants. 3. Rooftop bar and pools! 4. Good breakfast menu and good value if you pay in advance.

that despite having our own generator, the failure and intermittency of the electrical fluid from the external company, damaged some internal components, which generated those brief periods without power, this also has to do with hot water, we apologize for what happened,

Room postings misleading. When I booked the room it listed it as having a king bed and a twin bed. When I got into the room it was two twin beds. I was staying with a friend and on the second night he got his own hotel room at a different hotel. I pushed the two small twin beds together but then kept separating when your body ended up in the middle. Silly, but for a jr. suite you expect more. The restaurant and staff were great, just be careful which room you select.
