AVOID THIS HOTEL - WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS FOR RATING IF POSSIBLE. The Staff was very accommodating, however, the property is on terrible condition. My air conditioning did not work so I changed rooms and the hot water did not come on regardless of how long the shower was on in the new room. The furnishings were old and the bed was hard as a brick. The linens and towels are low quality and no blanket in the room. The pillows were old, flat, and smelled. The room entry door was a hollow core door and when you left the room at night the corridor lights were off and did not come on until you reached the elevator. The air conditioning was controlled by the hotel with no thermostat in the room.

Great Breakfast
The breakfast was phenomenal!! The reservation almost paid for itself with that amazing selection. If you need a place to stay that is cheap, no frills, and in a great beach location… you’re on!

Place is disgusting, smells moldy in some areas, and a dirty public bathroom in others. Room is old and moldy, windows dont open for fresh air. White sheets on bed are yellowing. I feel dirty being here.

I really enjoyed the hotel. It was better than i had anticipated. Near the beach and also near many resturants. The food served at the hotel was buffet style and was good.

My second time staying here and I am always comfortable. I took advantage of the dining options this time around and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the cafeteria. It helped saved money and time, since I didn't have to really go out looking for food. Friendly staff and I was happy to see familiar faces and they recognized me after a whole year.

Lo peor hotel en Bocagrande - facilmente !!!
Horrible. Habitacion super vieja. la cerradura en la puerta no se funciono. comida en el restaurante asqueroso. super frio siempre con aire acondicianado a 18 grados y no puedes cambiarlo. 40 minutos por el check in. 30 minutos por el check out. Lo peor hotel en Bocagrande. La unica cosa buena fuera las piscinas y ya !!

The place is pretty good, high traffic area but it is dated . But be prepared for no hot water and no contol over the air conditioning . Freezing at night.

Not worth it
This place treats you like a child, with stupidly strict security not allowing people who are not registered guests even when accompanied by a paying registered guest inside the hotel. Their dining options are outdated and not very vegetarian friendly. It was hot in the lobby and elevator with very uncomfortable heat. One elevator was always broken. Worst of all, housekeeping didn’t respect the “do not disturb” sign on the door, even after the front desk had me sign a paper stating that I did not want room service.

Dirty hotel
This is a horrible, dirty, shoddy hotel. Cockroaches in the rooms, lobby, and dining room. Hotel has not been maintained and is falling apart. Holes in floor. Door to our room was damaged and the top wouldn't stay closed making it easy for someone to break in. The worst part is that it was DIRTY. I would never stay there again and don't recommend it to anyone. It was listed as a 3 star hotel and maybe that was because it had a pool, but it was nasty.

Low cost option on the beach
Older hotel, rooms are pretty bare and the bathrooms are quite dated. This is a decent option if you are on a bare-bones budget otherwise there are probably better hotel options nearby for only a bit more money. They do have 2 pools - one on the 4th floor and one on the roof.

Disgusting.
Disgusting. I found a bed bug. The elevators smell like mold. One room smelled like fumes and looked like it had not been used or cleaned in ages and was dingy. I requested a change. The next room the windows were nailed shut. I asked the staff to give me a refund, they moved me to their sister hotel Cartagna Premium. This place was better. You get what you pay for in Cartagena. Better to spend $60- 70 on a place in Getsemania. Take a taxi out to the beaches or take day trips to the nicer beaches Boca Grande is not conveniently located. Not walking distance because the traffic is really hard to cross. Only stay in Boca Grande if you really really want a hotel with a pool.. But be willing to spend a bit more at a nicer place.

Stay away!
This place can't be considered a hotel. I had to book a hotel immediately for me and my wife and we went to do the check in, it was another story. They couldn't find the reservation, then I had to pay a refundable security deposit because of the problem with the reservation. The smell on the lobby, near the elevators, was something out of this world. The room had no shower curtain, so room floor got wet, a/c was noisy, room and hotel need a super major renovation. Free breakfast, lunch and dinner was ok. If hotel doesn't get renovated, there is no chance to go back to this place. At least the staff was friendly.

A nightmare at the hotel Costa del sol
The worst stay ever in my whole life. I’ve been around the world but never seen something like it. A big tall Impresive building in front of the beach but rotten old filthy indoor. Just by arriving at the lobby and the elevator you can tell by the bad smell how clean it is. Room with roaches, old furniture smell, noisy AC that disturbs your tranquility, a water leak in the bathroom from the upper floor, old bedding sheets, hard mattresses, no carpet, short window curtains and two tiny old bathroom towels! Unbelievable! It’s horrible! Run away from it unless you don’t have enough money to book others around it. I made a huge mistake by booking this hotel at the last minute after previously staying at the Hampton. It was so disgusting that I didn’t even have breakfast. If the rooms are filthy, I can’t even imagine the kitchen. I tried 3 rooms after I complained. They were all on the six floor but no better than mine! Room 617! Good luck if you can’t afford a better hotel! The owners are not investing a dime on it because their money is going to another hotel tower they are building nearby! What a shame!!!

Terrible hotel
Please please don't even want your money to save a couple bucks to stay in this hotel. This was the horrible , terrible mistake that ever did to booked on this hotel, the food is horrible, the service terrible, there is bed bugs, no towel, no clean and not service in conclusion the U.S or any motel is better than this hotel. My advice is pay more money on another hotel for your convenience in Cartagena.
