Remodeling lobby area, which made for a mess. The rooms are very small.

We apologize that due to the renovations you were not satisfied with the condition of the hotel during your stay. Opening up the floor plan is creating a lot of dust. We appreciate you taking the time share your experience. Your comments are valued, and your suggestions will be used to consider improvements in the future.

My title is "Stay In Another Motel"

Posted Apr 19, 2016 on Hotels
Had never stayed in one of your motels before and from the price, I thought I was upgrading from a competing motel in Cartersville. Boy was I wrong. This place reeked of "cheep", even at the higher price I paid. I understand it is in process of renovations, but those hall carpets are the pits, the A/C in the lobby was uncomfortably cold. Reported this to two front desk attendants, but it was never turned down the whole time we were there. In our room's bathroom (rm 224) the molding around the wall at the baseboards was torn off, all the bedroom lighting was a harsh bold bright white color that was not pleasant, electrical work was so out of date most of the accessories (TV, coffee pot, refrig, etc) were run from power strips, sound from adjacent rooms (paticularly from overhead) and hallway were bad.

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

Posted Mar 20, 2016
We booked this last minute while driving home from Spring Break. It was very late at night and there weren't many options. The hotel lobby, elevator, and hallways were filthy and needed vacuuming. The room was half cleaned - we found 2 bugs in the bedroom, black hairs on the edge of the tub, a cracked sink, torn wallpaper and lots of other items that looked shabby. The room had been remodeled very poorly! The new curtains had big holes in them and the pillows were tiny and flat. We stood in the room debating on if we should leave and demand our money back but it was 1:30 am and we were exhausted. So we stayed and took our chances. We paid way too much for this hotel and I would recommend going somewhere else if at all possible!! We tried to have cereal for breakfast but the milk on the buffet was soured. Overall, a bad experience. Next time I will keep driving and book in advance somewhere else!

Thank you for reaching out and writing about your experience. We are sorry you were not satisfied with the accommodations of your room. The hair was definitely unacceptable. We are undergoing a renovation and certain parts of the project happen sooner than others. We have only done the new tile in the bathrooms which had a smaller tile base. We just received our new vanities which will allow us to remove wall paper, paint and install all new amenities and sinks. We will review the cleanliness of your room with our housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms are up to Country Inns & Suites by Carlson standards.

OK room...

The hotel was under construction and it was very nosy in the hallways. The room was average at best but it was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Good stopping point

The hotel is under construction/remodeling. That's the only real problem--and for a "pet friendly" hotel, there was limited safe walking areas available.
