We booked the Cartersville Hilton Garden Inn when planning a trip with the grandkids to the excellent Tellus Museum nearby. We are museum members but had never stayed overnight. The Hilton Garden Inn brand is a favorite of hubby when on business trips so I thought it would be a decent hotel for us and the kids. They far surpassed our expectations! The hotel looks and feels brand new. From the minute we entered the beautiful, light-filled, welcoming lobby--complimentary warm delicious cookies and Starbucks coffee!, plush sofas, TV sitting area--we were greeted warmly by the staff. Our accessible junior suite was two large rooms with full bath, walk-in shower (no soap dish!) and jacuzzi tub for the king-size bedroom, and a half-bath for the large living area with pull-out sofa for the kids-- who were thrilled with their experience and are begging to go back! The heated salt water pool was clean and fun--but it could have been warmer. Our suite's half-bath toilet plugged twice--definitely an issue that needs to be addressed--but the staff came promptly both times and fixed the problem cleanly and quickly. I can't say enough good things about the stellar staff! We ate dinner at the in-house restaurant and raved about the food--the kids' chicken tenders were the best they EVER had! My prime rib steak special was perfect--better than anything at nearby Longhorn! And the baked potato was fresh from the OVEN (no microwave!) Service exceptional! We'll return very soon!
