Unique, vintage motor hotel in a quaint old town. Walking distance to a few places to eat, including the Irish Cowboy pub, which had live music. The street is a bit noisy, and there was a “colorful” character hanging around, but generally felt safe enough; with the exception that someone messed with my motorcycle (tried to open the panniers) overnight. The rooms are very modest, very vintage, and clean. Worked fine as an off-the beaten track stop for a motorcycle trip (but be sure to keep your vehicle locked up tight).

One night at the brown mist.
The entire experience was just awful from the start. When checking in the person at the front desk was not just rude but yelled at me, when I asked how her day had been she looked at me and then acted like I had said nothing. I was told very aggressively that there were to be NO PETS! And then was given a room at the far back of the hotel (I was one of two guests). When I went in the room it was at least 90 degrees inside (I say that because it was 101 outside and the inside felt hotter. The ac didn’t stand a chance, and there was absolutely no cold water trust me I tried!! Lol. I finally succumbed to sleep with my feet literally on the ac unit. The mattress was so springy by the way that I actually checked under it for objects. Really the list goes on but I’m tired of typing. Please note, I usually prefer to stay at local owned motels because by in large they are kind and even though the rooms are old, at least you know you’re helping a small business. I wish I could un-stay at the brown… I mean blue mist.

Thank you for your review and letting us know your concerns. I did review the performance footage of the employee that checked you in. Unfortunately from what I saw the front desk clerk was courteous and friendly. She simply asked if you had any pets as our policy has been no pets allowed. We have actually only received positive reviews concerning the employee that was there during your checkin. We apologize for the location of your room. The property was actually completely booked by the time of your checkin so there was no way to change your room. However if you do decide to stay with us again in the future we are very accommodating within our limits. If we have another room available and if you were to ask to be moved we usually will do so. Regarding the cold water, unfortunately we are located in Arizona and in the summer months we do not get cold water almost at all. There's not much we can do to change this. We do hope you give us another chance in the future as we are currently going through a full remodel of the motel from top to bottom. We thank you again for staying with us.

What you would expect for a motel in Florence
It’s exactly what you would expect for a motel in Florence. The front desk person was nice and helpful. The room was decent and had exactly what we needed - shower, toilet, bed, television. Pillows and blankets were 1/10 - at least they had something. Would definitely recommend bringing your own pillow and blanket or stop by Walmart to get a pillow and blanket. Ice machine was out of order but they do have a monster vending machine. Would have expected to pay about half of what we paid for the room for one night. Overall, it was good.

The carpet and tables were dirty. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I had to go ask for it at the front desk. The pool was drained. The main ceiling light did not work. There was a stain mark on the pipe. This is a very poorly maintained motel. The air conditioner worked but was very noisy. The shower was ok. I would not stay again.

The Blue Mist is a classic mom 'n pop motel. Those under 40 who think all lodging facilities should have fitness rooms will be disappointed. Those who want economical basic lodging will be pleased. Florence is a charming, old-timey town, and the Blue Mist fits in perfectly. While its been around awhile, everything in the room was clean and worked properly. I was quite satisfied.

I went to Country Thunder was there most of the day! I went to see the two country artists i love! Lonestar and Luke Bryan it was awesome! Knew i would want to drive home to Gilbert so got a motel to sleep before driving home! Thank you so much the room was great! I slept great and if i ever come back for country Thunder i will keep you in mind!!

Our room was very noisy from the highway. The ice machine was broken and the WiFi did not work. A towel rack was missing. The only reason we stayed ther was that it was relatively cheap, given that it was Spring break and baseball Spring training. They need to do some work.

I guess for the price it was ok. Clean enough. Bed ok. Dingy towels.Good choice of TV channels. Shower worked fine. Needs serious upgrade. Wallpaper peeling. I was told by locals that ex-convicts live there when they get out of prison. One disheveled guy knocked on my car door and wouldn't let me leave till I rolled down the passenger window. He said I was sent there to "rescue" him. I told him he was mistaken and after several tries, finally was able to leave. Several guys sit outside the rooms and smoke on the walkway. Many butts on the sidewalk. The staff is nice and helpful though.

the staff is super friendly and were very accomodating. The hotel is a little dated and with the exception of the carpet pretty clean. The carpet is very old and dirty looking but if all you need is a place to rest and shower it is perfect.

First room smelled like smoke and had a wooden board across the bathroom window. Second room could never never access Wi-Fi. One of the beds sheets had four old blood stains on it( good thing we brought our own bedding). Big dark stains on the floor along with a big dark wet stain by the frig. Couldn’t open the window shade, broken cord. Towels had a horrible smell( good thing I brought my own towel)
