I arrived to find out there was “an issue with the hotel” and they had moved my reservation to another hotel for one night. The hotel they moved me to was perfectly fine but I wish I would have had some advance notice. Prior to moving to the new hotel I was told by the front desk that I had to find a way to get my luggage back to the best western, given it wasn’t my fault why I wa seeing moved I didn’t believe this should be my responsibility. After fighting with them they agreed to come and get my luggage, as I would be out all day touring.
Once I got back from a long day of touring my (first) room was fine. Unbenouced to me (didn’t notice till 3AM the next morning when I got up to shower) that the shower water was brown.. I called the front desk and they sent the bellboy up where he preceded to tell me it was the light in the bathroom making the water look discolored.. I proceeded to tell him I needed to shower now as I need to catch a train to Marrakesh shortly, he then told me to shower in the room across the hall and change in my room! Under no circumstance was I going to shower in another room and then walk across the hall in a towel.. they eventually moved me to another room, but this room had flys.
It just wasn’t the best stay for me.. and very stressful.
