Very old & dated. Some staff rude & arrogant while others were friendly. Breakfast was disappointing & tasteless. Generally appeared clean but bath had hairs and shower curtain had mould. Faulty internal lock resulted in be locked out of room and not having access until the next day. Resulting in be put into another room without access to any of our belongings, clothes, toiletries or medication. Staff generally unhelping following this. Eventually offered a small discount but still charged the inconvience. Would not stay here again.

Very spacious room, but in need of modernisation. Bed was comfortable but pillows were bad. There was a gap behind the bed that was quite dirty. Breakfast was ok. Great location, near Cascais and the train station.

This is a nice property for a holiday split between sightseeing in Lisbon and a beach holiday

Three star service, four star amenities

Posted Jun 6, 2018
The hotel is in a nice location right above the train station with a great view over Casccais ad Estoril from the higher floor rooms. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette. However there are some rather disappointing aspects that do not give a four star service. First, only the staff at the reception spoke English. The staff at the restaurants had difficulties communicating. The rooms are rather dark ... the photos are missleading. Even with all the lights on, the rooms are rather dark in evenings and mornings. In the more colder (below 20 degrees celsius) days you will feel that the bathrooms are too cold because of the marble covers and the iron bath (you will freeze). There is no heating and no heated floors in the bathrooms. The safe in the rooms is rather expensive (should be included in the price of a 4 star hotel) and requires you to get a pin (do not forget to bring it to the reception when you will check out or you will have to go back to your room to get it). The "high-speed" wifi did mostly not work in our room. There it was more like snail-speed nofi. The hotel restaurant served only (overpriced for 18.5 eur per person) buffet dinner. You can get much cheaper and more delicious meals at the beachside/promenade restaurants! Especially if you travel with small children (so this was rather family unfriendly). We ordered a double room, but got a twin room. The breakfast is very repetitive (nothing except for one pastry) changes.

Location, location, location - perfect for seafront walkways to Cascais and Estoril; perfect for trainline - fast, frequent and cheap trains to Lisbon. Friendly, helpful staff. Good-sized, well-equipped rooms, though slightly dated. Shower over very narrow bathtub. Soaps/shampoo/shower gel provided but not great quality. Adequate breakfast buffet in sea-view dining room, but with minimal variation of food choices available over the week. Don't rely on any response to email if you have to contact hotel prior to your stay! Overall an average to good hotel in a perfect location if you wish to visit Lisbon as well as the Cascais/Estoril area.

Very convenient location - close to beach, train and Cascais. Perfectly clean. Extensive breakfast options and lovely pools. Decor is a bit dated but that doesn’t really matter when everyone is so friendly.

Because the hotel is older the room was spacious. Where as the dining room was dangerously crowded at breakfast and there weren't enough seats. The food at breakfast was okay but dinner no so good and it was tepid.
