Better than expected - and our expectations were high!
Our stay at this 500 year old stone farmhouse in the Tuscan hills exceeded all expectations. If you are an antique lover you are in for a treat. The house is full of beautiful old furniture. Gabriele and Patrizia are great hosts - very helpful in everything we asked of them. The location on a hill overlooking the Tuscan countryside is sublime. Drinking in the view while enjoying the complimentary bottle of homemade wine was a great start to a week of exploration of this magical area. Within easy driving distance of many hilltop towns and villages, as well as the famed Chianti wine region, we explored and reveled in the history and culture of Toscana! We even made a trip the beach one day! It is a little hard to find - we drove right by the entrance road a few times! But if you follow the clear driving directions that Gabriele sends ( as we obviously didn't!) then you should be fine. I heartily recommend Colloritto for a great Tuscan getaway - but you do need a car!
