Rude staff and unsecure rooms

Posted Aug 21, 2015
My wife and I spent two nights here separated by a day. Both nights the woman working the desk was very curt with us. We somehow managed to get the same room even though we checked out, had 24 hours away and checked back in. We were disgusted to see that the room had the same grunge marks in the bathroom and on the beds that were present when we first entered the room two days earlier. On the second day there my wife had a bad stomach bug, probably from our first day there, I went to the front desk to ask for a bag of tea. On the way down I passed two rooms, one had the door open and obviously unable to close since the door was twisted on its hinges and the poor couple who were booked in that room were talking to their neighbor who was in the hall slamming their own door trying to get it to close. When I finally got to the desk to request the tea I was sent to retrieve, the new desk clerk refused to give me a single tea bag, informing me that their breakfast had closed two hours earlier and unless anything had been left out I'd have to go to a store. Even after I explained it was for my wife who was ill upstairs, the staff and manager still refused to provide a single bag of tea. When I asked for the direction and distance of the nearest corner store the clerk, thinking she was being cute gave me a dirty look and replied "corner stores are on the corner" and sent me out into a downpour of rain all over a single bag of tea

Cons: More comfortable beds and a better breakfast.
Location: The location was fine because we easily drove to where we wanted to go.
The two queen beds were actually the most uncomfortable of the hotels we stayed in on this trip. The breakfast wasn't that great because the orange and apple juice were so watered down we could hardly drink either of them. The waffles they made were very crisp to hard. No eggs. The sauage and pancakes were good as well as the other things they had. The room was clean and very nice. Some extra chairs and a writing table and quite comfortable.

Well kept room with easy freeway access

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Comfy bed
We arrived in Casper, Wy. late at night and were greeted warmly and front desk was helpful in processing our check-in. Rooms were clean and properly stocked. While not inexpensive, the prices were competitive to most of the hotels in the area. Freeway access is good although the RV parking is on the side of a side street serving the property and is some what limited as there is another property across the street. Some things to note and it is not under the control of La Quinta is; (1) the road improvements in the area make for getting in and out of town fairly difficult when you do not know your way around & (2) there is not a lot of dining options nearby in walking distance

Nice no frills hotel

The exercise room is better than most hotels I've stayed at. The hotel was clean and apparently well maintained. I would stay there again if in the area.

Plain Jane

Pros: Not Much!
Cons: I am not sure anything can improve the buildings. The entry is at one end, the elevator at the other.
Location: We went to a different restaurant because the one next door was old and didn't smeel good.
We did not enjoy our stay. The long hallways and walks are tp the room were inconvient. The rooms smell old...

Pass on this hotel. Then again, it is Casper, so your options are limited.
