Great
Very good Hotel. Friendly reception and nice spacious clean room for 3. Slightly disappointed with the chaotic restaurant food. Otherwise fine.

The hotel receptionist friendly and helpful, room clean and tidy. Breakfast continental but ok. Cafeteria adjoining hotel not good! Cash only no card payment allowed in cafeteria. Food at best mediocre and expensivei drinks also expensive. Staff not helpful, want you in and out. Recommend stay at the hotel but eat elsewhere.

Comfortable - But Storkless
Functional hotel, sited in a not particularly scenic part of the town, but convenient to access the town on foot and to the nearby nature reserves beside the River Ebro. Menus del Dia are available at very reasonable prices as well as pizza options. Comprehensive continental breakfast. The town is famed for the large numbers of storks which live in the centre - but sadly migrate away from October to January. Staff very helpful.

Great stopover

Good stopover hotel
Not too far from the main north/south motorway. My stay was quiet, comfortable bed but the air con, which was required as it was hot during the night, did not appear to respond to the temperature setting. It was either on or off and though I set it for an ambient tempereature, the room was either hot or very cold. As a result, I did not have a good sleep. The bed was very comfortable though. Reception staff were very nice, welcoming and had the right level of security check, like when I requested the return of my passport. Okay breakfast, continental style, nothing fantastic but filled a belly. Good coffee though! Lavazza. Dinner or tapas was available in the adjoining cafeteria, where the food was okay, of inexciting. Nice staff here too. I will stay here again when I am travelling to or from France from or to south of Spain.

This hotel is ideal for overnight stay or two. We were in a room over the bar/restaurant/smoking areas so window couldn't be left open and air conditioner did not work. English is not easily understood, but sign language was fun. Great value for $.

Very clean restaurant, the food is ok. The breakfast can do better, but it's perfect for a quick business meal before work.

Convenient overnight stay
Close to motorway for overnight stop travelling Alicante/Bilbao. Easy free parking. The evening meal was excellent but the bar/restaurant was VERY NOISY. Extensive all-you-can eat breakfast. We stop-over here twice every year.

We stay at this hotel as a stop off on a long drive and it never disappoints. Clean, comfortable and a lovely bar/cafe/restaurant. Easy walk into town for a a few drinks etc and get to watch the storks fly in which is an experience. Lovely as ever

No Saturday night delight!
There was a factory adjacent to the hotel facing the bedroom windows. They continued working until past midnight on a Saturday night with 2 fork lift trucks stacking metal containers. Meanwhile the noise of the factory processing plant produced an audible, continuous and irritating hum. At 07:00 on the Sunday morning the fork lift trucks began loading a truck. It was far from a restful night.

Good for Storkers...
Excellent value hotel, well placed if making journey across Spain and also if you wish to view storks... There are hundreds of them - and nesting in the town! Restaurant has very reasonably priced Menu del Dia, available in evenings as well as midday. Economy Double room on small side.

Great hotel
For a 3* hotel it is slightly higher than its peers in other small Spanish towns, but since there aren't many hotels in Alfaro this is the definitely your best bet. Huge car park, small but well appointed rooms. Friendly staff.

Hotel Palacious
This hotel is a real find, it's undergoing major alterations at the moment, but that's not a problem. The room was spotless, the staff multi-lingual and very friendly, we took our dog and that was not a problem. WI-FI was free and very quick. Alfaro is a lovely place to look round, it's worth making the time to walk round this very Spanish town. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's bang in the middle of the Rioja region, what else could you want. Ten out of ten Hotel Palacious, you are definitely getting it right!

In the heart of Rioja region
Sat nav a little confused but found it in the end. Alfaro is a sleepy industrial town with no tourists. Hotel restaurant permanently closed and hotel receptionist (no English spoken) recommended another restaurant across the road. No outside menu and no price list but had amazing meal at £30 per head which included a quality bottle of Rioja. Worth visiting to see the cranes nesting on the church roof and that exceptional restaurant.

definitely would return if back in area as the reception staff were extremely helpful....rooms good, clean and spacious. Central location in Alfaro and hotel provides map of town which makes getting out and about easy.

Habitación de un tamaño generoso, un baño amplio, todo súper limpio, bien iluminado, con ventanas al exterior en habitación y baño, cama supletoria para nuestro peque sin pedirla, desayuno incluido, cuarto de juegos, personal muy amable... que más se puede pedir??

Lo único que no me gusto que al salir me dijeron que no habiamos pagado y querian volver a cobrarme,tuve que enseñar que estaba pagada y no iba a volver a pagar,no me gusto las formas.Pero por lo demás tanto el personal,instalaciones, habitación y cenamos a un modico precio y de manera excelente
