My husband and I enjoyed 10 nights at the Castellmar. The building is older and the bathroom could use a face lift but everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The deck off the living room was huge and we enjoyed our partial view of the sea. I would recommend this property for the price even though the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours.

Great place with good location and nice employees
Very nice employees, really welcoming and helpful. Great apartment, well equipped kitchen, good bed, fine bathroom and a very nice balcony with good space. The sofa in the living room could have been better, and the wifi was slow, but other than that, it is definitely a hotel we would book again. And very nice parking in a closed area.

This is a great beach location. Quiet neighborhood with a lot of restaurants in walking distance. We wanted to see Barcelona but have a quiet place to relax in the evenings. This is it! You can be in the city in 30 minutes but feels like a world away. The apartment was very clean and had a great view of the beach. The hosts were very helpful and available 24 hours a day. Looking for a beach getaway near Barcelona, this is the place!

We used the Castellmar Apartments for our weeklong stay outside Barcelona, and thought they made an excellent base for day tripping around the region. Most evenings, we came back after our day of sightseeing and could easily change our clothes and walk across the road to hang out on the beach or grab drinks and a bite to eat at either one of the chiringuitas while the kids played on their beach toys or go up the road to the restaurants off Passeig Maritim. The apartment we were in had a front room with a futon and dining table, then a galley kitchen with a small refrigerator & microwave, and a 2 burner cooktop. There were plenty of glasses, dishes, flatware and cooking pans and utensils, but if cooking at all you'd need to pick up all the basic staples from salt, pepper and oil up through whatever you wanted to cook. We bought our groceries at the Carrefours in the area - the one in Gava had the largest selection by far. You could stay here without a car, as the train station into Barcelona is about a 15 minute walk, and there's enough restaurants off you don't want to cook, but for our trip and the places we wanted to visit we rented a car. The parking was off street, and we never had trucks trouble getting a parking space. The property is managed by Apartmentos Marfina across the street, and and we would recommend routing GPS directions there, as ours kept routing us to the wrong place unless we typed in the street address. Their desk was always open & friendly!

Well managed and resolve any issues very quickly. Stairs leading to these apartments may be difficult for those with disabilities and heavy luggage. Only wish the management would offer a luggage carrying service during reception opening hours.

Excellent location for the airport and the beach. Beach was much quieter than Barceloneta. Train station info central Barcelona 25 minute walk.

We booked this location for our last night in Spain due to its proximity to the airport. I recommend that you check in as early as possible--or even for 2 nights--if you are booking Castellmar for the same reason so that you can enjoy the many amenities this apartment offers with its proximity to the beach!! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and sufficiently stocked. Though on a busy street, the apartment was quiet with the windows closed. The man staffing the front desk was multi-lingual and fluent in English--he was so helpful about settling into the apartment and finding things in the area. I would stay here again!!

Don't confuse with a B&B, it is a self-catering facility with breakfast available across the street at a sister hotel. Convenient bus route passes by.. Beach equipment available.

We had a good stay
We had a pleasant stay. It was right next to the beach and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. 10 minutes to the airport. Overall I would recommend it.

Amazing, clean and comfortable!! The ocean view was nice. We could use kayak, paddle board and bike for free. Should have stayed more than 1 night! There was also a party on the beach, it was perfect!

Superb hotel in excellent situation
The hotel is on the beach, our room was facing beach. The town was busy but certainley not rowdy. Great family feeling as bars etc were good quality. The room was immaculate. I will definately be returning here.

Amazing stay at Castellmar Apartments.
We had an amazing stay at Castellmar Apartments. We arrived late night with 2 little kids. Good that I contacted apartment prior to arrival so I knew we had to check in at the opposite hotel Marfina. The receptionist guy helped us taking our staff right to the door of our room. We were offered a free next day breakfast where the waitress and receptionist lady were very kind as well. There was a nice kids corner for some play. We had free access to bikes, table tennis, beach bed, sun umbrella. Nice and clean apartment, quiet, great location, 1 minute to the beach. Good nearby restaurants. One of our best holiday, a big thank you for the friendly and helpful staff! I will definitely recommend for others!

Perfect hotel and location in beach area
I was slightly apprehensive to stay in an "apartment" but it was basically a 2 bedroom efficiency style hotel room. The kitchen was equipped with dishes and pans, and the staff was friendly and eager to recommend restaurants and points of interest. I would definitely stay there again.

The customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining bus routes and arranging a taxi. We were somewhat off season, and allowed to check-in at 10:30 AM and extend check-out until 5:00.
