Spectacular View and Great StaffPosted Sep 24, 2017 on Hotels
While not within walking distance of anything, it is a place that is uniquely situated. It is on a mountain and that medieval tower that you see in the photos is on the property, not some place you have to go to. It really is a nice place to stay. The view is amazing. We only stayed one night, but we would have liked to stay more. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were clean, parking was available and free (imagine that in Spain). The staff was amazing and so helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Almost great, just let down by a couple of things.Posted Sep 6, 2017
The old part of the hotel, including the restaurant, bar and lounge areas is quite beautiful. I would hate to have been put in the somewhat sterile new section. The service is pleasant enough, but the bar staff were aloof and the food there terrible. Restaurant food very nice though. The position of the hotel is quite good, although a bus, train or taxi ride away from the village of Castelldefels. The beach is just a 1km walk downhill and over the freeway, with a few restaurants dotted along the way. It's very much a beach resort for the city folk with no shopping to be done along the beach. The biggest drawback for me, which has been mentioned by others, were the bus loads of tourists who arrived and congregated at the entrance to the hotel, right below some of the room windows. I was woken up 3 nights in a row at 3am and eventually asked to change rooms. It seems these corporate groups are more important than the quiet serenity of paying holiday guests. The other thing I didn't like was being charged for 2 people's tax even though I was on my own, just because the room was a twin-share! Left a bad taste in my mouth.... I did like my eventual room though, with quaint furnishings and a terracotta floor, a view out over the village towards the city and really comfortable beds. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities woukd be great as room service was slow and expensive.

Gorgeous PoolPosted Aug 27, 2017
Pros: Everything and especially the location and the pool
Cons: Everyting was perfect
Location: a little ouside of downtown, but easy to get to, and fine to just stay near the hotel
We picked this hotel because there was a heat wave in Europe when we were travelling, and the picture of the pool did the trick. In real llife, it was exactly as pictured, and we spent a lot of time at the pool, and it was fantastic. The hotel was just lovely in every way, a little outside the downtown area, but that was a plus, and it was super easy to get into town or to the beautiful beaches. Barcelona was wonderful, the architecture, the people - everything was relaxed and relaxing.

Everything was excellent. Personally it was too far from central town cities.
