"Nice independent apartment at accessible distance"
Our experience was very nice! The owner of the apartment kept awake until we reached so late at 23:00 hrs. He was very warm and meticulously showed us every minute detail of the apartment and the breakfast arrangements. The apartment was extremely neat and tidily kept. It was pretty warm and cozy and the Wi fi worked absolutely well. All in all, we had a comfortable stay there for three nights. It is at an accessible distance from the main city, in Via Garibaldi, if you wanna check on Google maps. The supermarket is also close by to bring stuff to cook at the kitchenette! Just one concern we had, that the washroom was too compact! That's it! Rest everything was very good!

Great location, helpful staff. Nice to have kitchen. Nice touch of an espresso biatelli in kitchen. Cheery place. Downside of renting an apartment is that it is inconvenient to go 1-2 blocks to hotel if you have an issue. First night the water heater light went out which they promptly fixed when we told them the next morning. Wifi worked fine at first but no signal last 2 days. I am sure they would have fixed it but we were busy and let it be. Venice has pungent odors at times and the bathroom in the apartment was malodorous at times as well. I think that was more a Venice thing than necessarily related to the apartment specifically. All in all though it was a great value and we enjoyed have more space and the independence of an apartment in Venice.

"Ideal 3 days"
This is a budget hotel, minutes away from everything. Venice is expensive but there are places to stay and meals to eat which don't cost a fortune. The room came without breakfast although this was available for 5 euros extra should we have wanted it. We did not as we wanted to try some of the little patisseries we had seen (too many for our short visit!) when out and about, so we can't comment on it although it smelt lovely. The room was large, clean but a trifle tired, we had 3 windows being on the corner of the hotel, so when the shutters were open it was light and airy. We shared a shower and toilet with 5 other rooms, which was a throwback of 20 years and showed how we'd become accustomed to en suite facilities.... however we had a sink in our room and quickly adapted. The hotel's position is close to everything and it is well worth it to be staying so central; it was quiet and the people we met there were very pleasant, both guests and proprietor. Helpful without being intrusive. I am happy to recommend.

Piccolo Tiepolo

Campo SS Filippo e Giacomo, Venice 30122 - Map
"Okay hotel near lots of attraction"
This hotel was pretty decent for the price we paid. Upon arrival to the city, we got extremely lost. You have to take water boats to get anywhere in the city. When we finally discovered the path, we set out to find the hotel. You actually have to check into a different hotel, and only reason we knew was because we were lost and saw a hotel that has tiepolo in their name. We went in trying to find directions for our hotel, and the woman at the desk told us this was where we checked in, and she had to take us to our hotel towards an alley way. It wasn't far from the original check in, which was nice. We were on the third floor, and when we walked in it was extremely hot. The heater must have been left on so we immediately opened the windows. We had a double bed and a single twin. Bed was decent, a little hard for the back but it's what we expected for the price. The towels were actually bed sheets, or seemed like them, so it was a bit hard to dry off. At night, the streets are loud with locals who stay up late. So make sure to keep the windows closed if you want to sleep through your night. Overall the place was okay. You basically pay for what you get.

"Adequate clean hotel, good bus service"
Hotel Vidale is plain and simple. It represents good value for money and is in a very good location for the bus service into Venice. It probably does need a few repairs such as a few loose floor tiles, broken ceiling lamp and if you leaned against the headboard the light went out. However the rooms were very clean, with ample storage if you needed it. If you are looking for a top class hotel then do not book into this one as you will be disappointed. On saying that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and got what we expected.

"Comfortable and local to the main attractions. "
We stayed here for three nights. It was a lovely break. The hotel is just off the beaten track, but close enough to the local landmarks to be at either St Marks Square or the Rialto within a five minute stroll. The Hitel is lovely has lots of character and is fairly spacious with good facilities. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
