Parking is abominable, but that's an issue with the whole town of Nelson. No elevator, but then again I'm ancient and find stairs difficult with a suitcase. Noticed that everyone else is fit and way younger so probably not a serious issue.

Very nice cute room, lovely amenities for eating. Would have appreciated reimbursement due to no available hotel parking leaving us to park on the street and got told we would need to pay.

Hi Breanna, glad you enjoyed your stay. For such glowing remarks we are a little saddened to see such a low score of 3. As for parking, we are not sure why you would want reimbursement as we do not offer complimentary hotel parking as a part of your room booking. There is a small unmonitored parking lot behind the hotel that is complimentary but is first come first serve. It is not included with your room. When booking through any provider it is very clear that we do not offer or guarantee parking.

No parking really, sports bar noisy below and no idea why a glass door was choice for the bathroom. Hard to hide from other guests. Coffee shop was absolutely the highlight. Likely will try another option next time

Hello Shaun. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay due to noise. Please note that when you booked you should have received an email detailing that your room was above the bar. Our team is always happy to try and relocate guests if they are not happy with their placement (depending on availability). As for the frosted glass door, this option was chosen to help brighten the rooms, and the glass is frosted to ensure you are not able to see through. While it is disappointing to read your review, we sincerely hope you consider us again the next time you are in Nelson, so we can help to make your stay a great one.

I think this is a unique experience. Far from your cookie cutter hotel set ups. The rooms are fun and lively as are the clientele. Stay on Saturday though…..stay on a party weekend…. People everywhere of all sorts. And a loose vibe overall. You’ll hear your neighbor girls giggle and drink until 3 in the morning. You will also hear some patrons screaming lustfully in the night most likely in full knowledge at least six rooms around them can hear their bed telegraph where exactly in the performance they are. The Short of it. Maybe don’t bring the fam. But if a romantic/ adventurous night of finding different watering spots downtown with history and good vibes is on the menu….This one is a real adventure.

WOW! This comes as an absolute shock Eric. After joking around with the front desk staff in a super friendly manner on check out, with absolutely no call down to the desk to complain about noise or mention of it at that time, we are blown away to see a 1 star review. We cannot control neighbouring properties or guests in the hotel if we aren't informed of an issue. It is the Holiday season and people are out and about at functions. Maybe next time voice your concerns at the time, so we can have a chance to rectify the issue. These types of reviews dramatically impact our business and you seem like a person with more courtesy than this. Our team works hard to put forward a good product and service and this is undeserving to say the least.

It's a super cool hotel/hostel, with a great cafe attached. The only thing that could use improvement would be the heating. The rooms were super cold and the heat would blast on for a few minutes, then drop back down to freezing, then blast on again. Classic old building/old window issues, but that's really the only thing that we could say needed a bit of love. Everything else was great, the rooms are beautiful and the staff are super friendly.

The greeting agent as well as the manager were friendly, polite and so very accommodating. I had a few requests before and during my stay and the communication and consideration to my needs was very supportive. I would definitely stay here again!!

My first time in Nelson. So glad I chose this hotel. Excellent location, around the corner to a wonderful selection of shops, restaurants, cafes. Clean. Quiet. Super considerate staff. I hiked Pulpit Rock and to the flagpole the morning before I checked out, they were gracious about me checking out a bit late. Will definitely come again.

The staff were very helpful and the overall condition of the room was good also the location is very central for walking around Nelson. Unfortunately there were some issues, coffee and tea were available in a communal area in the morning only. Therefore for the majority of us that like something of a night you have to pay (not good enough). The pillow selection was non existent either hard or harder. The tariff in my opinion was too high for the quality and inclusions of the hotel, the parking lot had limited spaces. The bed was really hard. The noise from downstairs was ok to a point. But really on a weeknight 11 pm is far too late for loud music. We didn't eat at the hotel the prices were too high. Given a 2 night week night stay our overall opinion is we won't be back.

Hello Terry. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, however, it is disappointing to hear that we were not the right property for you. Our rates are actually quite comparable to other 3-star hotels in Nelson, and we do our best to remain competitive with other properties. We find that most if we make coffee for guests available 24-hours a day, we end up throwing out most of it once it gets old. So we minimize our waste by putting coffee out in the morning when most people want to drink it. For your comment on parking, that is a constant battle here in downtown Nelson. While it may be small, we are pleased that we are able to offer at least some level of parking to our guests. It is a shame that you didn't try either of our restaurants, our prices are also very competitive with other similar eateries in Nelson. It is nice to hear that our team was helpful and you enjoyed our central location. While we were not able to satisfy your needs during your stay, we do hope you have a wonderful day.

Very conveniently located, the staff are excellent, rooms are clean. We arrived on a Thursday and I had known that on the Saturday night our room above the bar was going to be slammed by a super loud karaoke night until midnight I would not have booked it.

While we are thankful to have the small parking lot that we have, we certainly agree that we wish there was more. Unfortunately, we are unable to expand our footprint any further to accommodate a larger lot.
