hotel sympa sauf personnel de réception

Pros: Le personnel d'animation au bar, parking gratuit et belle vue des transats
Cons: Accueil, propreté des chambres
Location: Pas mal de resto à proximité, beaux petits restos avec terrasses et bon produits
Le personnel de réception pas serviable, chambres pas bien nettoyées, la vue était exécrable donnant sur de grands murs sales. Accueil laisse vraiment à désiré. Le reste du personnel vraiment gentil. Petit déjeuner pas super !

Disappointing hotel that pretends to be a 4-star

Pros: The fact that it is right by the sea; some of the staff are good
Cons: The whole state of the rooms: the non-refurbished are 2-star and the charges should reflect that. Breakfast is awful and dinners not that better.
Location: It's located in Aci Trezza - a small village you can walk to (there're no sidewalks so it's pedestrian unfriendly) and have some sea food, pizza.
If you care about the quality of your vacation accommodation this 4-star hotel would be a disappointment. The reception area is rather nice - the soft lighting gives it a cozy feeling especially at night while the wicker chairs and couches give it a summer-y feeling, something which I liked. The staff was attentive but well, too many people try to jump the queue at reception. When I arrived I was told that there’s "a problem with my room" and I had to wait in the lobby for an hour before being able to check-in. The hotel is right by the sea and there was a metal staircase that could be used to enter the sea. The good ends here, unfortunately. The hotel has a southern renovated wing which one can say is at a 4-star standard (I was let in a room at that wing). The rest though – the northern and especially the northeast wings - are more of a 2-star standard. Upon entering my room I saw a bed in the small entrance area. I wondered who would want to sleep there. Upon opening the inner door: there was some old-fashioned stove rings, a CRT TV and a noisy refrigerator positioned almost in the middle of the room. No sign of a brochure or a book describing the hotel services. I am not even sure that this hotel had a room service, I think it didn’t. The room was not cleaned properly, there was dust left from some renovation or repairs and the floor tiles had some paint sprinkles. The breakfast and dinner featured the poorest choices available of any 4-star hotel I’ve ever visited.

Der Manager war sehr zuvorkommend, als wir gehen wollten, aber wir fühlten uns nicht wohl. Die anlage wäre eigentlich super, jedoch viele Sachen ensprechen nicht unseren Vorstellungen

Great seaside location

Pros: Location and welcome.
Cons: Some communal areas need refurbishment.Fresh juice at breakfast.
We used the hotel for a one night stop over and were delighted to see the seaside location lived up to the photographs. The welcome at check in was very friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was adequate but no fresh orange juice was a minus. Some corridors could do with recarpeting. Overall a good standard at a fair price.

Pros: La posizione con un bellissimo panorama
Cons: Rinnovare gli arredi e aumentare il personale.
Sicuramente una bellissima struttura che però risente degli anni che passano. Arredi da rinnovare e carenza di personale, anche se il periodo non è di piena stagione. Trovare però il bar senza barman, e la piscina senza custodia è sporca non è proprio un bellissimo biglietto da visita.

Hotel un po' datato ma decoroso, personale molto cortese e disponibile. Vista mozzafiato sul mare di Acitrezza e splendida terrazza, purtroppo faceva ancora un po' freddo e non ne ho potuto approfittare. Colazione da rivedere...

Pros: Fin utsikt over havet!
Cons: Bedre vedlikehold,generelt.
Location: Ligger ved en trafikkert vei, uten fortau, ca 1,5 km til sentrum. Ikke bademuligheter ved hotellet.
Frokosten var " så der", ikke tomater eller grønt. Bassenget var gjengrodd av grønske og rusk, ikke tiltalende! Låsen på verandadøren var kaputt, ble ikke gjort noe med til tross for at vi ga beskjed. Som nevnt, litt slitent og tungdrevet.

Cons: Open restaurant as claimed Open private beach as claimed start travel desk Improve room conditions drastically Breakfast on offer
Location: Relatively closer to Catania airport. No nearby places to eat.
Our experience at the Galatea Palace was disappointing. While booking it promised for a private beach, sea side restaurant etc whereas in reality restaurant and travel desks were not operational. We had to go far away for our dinner.Private beach did not exist, classic room booked by us was more of a service apartment with very basis double bed, hot plates which did not work. Double bed, furniture, cutlery etc were less than ordinary. Breakfast served was disappointing.The bar at hotel was just too small. In summary it is no way close to 4 star hotel. The receptionist lady was friendly and helpful .We feel let down for the money paid and would not recommend anyone nor we would go there again, there are better places giving value for money and comfort.
