Nice hotel with great pool.

Pros: Loved the pool and bar area. Fantastic view of the golf course and mountains of Palm Springs.
Cons: Straighten out the billing issues.
Location: Golf course on site. Air museum nearby. Nice restaurants close by.
Check in went smoothly. Room was what I expected. Very nice staff and great facilities. The hotel kept charging my credit card even though I paid in advance on Expedia. Took a few calls to straighten that out.

Loved the proximity to great shopping and restaurants, loved the breakfast buffet and amazing cookies at the front desk! Beautiful room with a gorgeous view!

Worst Experience Ever

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Guest Services, and Customer Service. Please read my experience.
I arrived with my partner for a 24th birthday celebration at check in to find out that our "reservation had been cancelled". I NEVER cancelled our reservation, as it was active on Expedia. I believe there was a miscommunication between the hotel representative and the Expedia agent. I did inquire two days before the reservation about cancellation fees, if i did choose to cancel, but never once did i authorize a cancellation. Somehow the reservation was cancelled on the hotel's database and active on Expedia (being that once again, i did NOT cancel). I had a terrible experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Palm Springs; i was left to wait outside of the hotel for approximately 2.5 hours. I saw the sunset with my partner outside with our luggage. We lost so much time and it was quite humiliating. I kept showing the hotel representative my Expedia confirmation and it's status "Book- No Need to Confirm". I feel being that two phone Expedia reps told the hotel representative over the phone that my reservation was not cancelled, that we should have been placed into a room at no charge until the situation is cleared. I would like to be contacted by DoubleTree by Hilton or Hilton Inc. to discuss this matter. I am extremely disappointed at both the hotel staff and Expedia for taking 2.5 hours to fix the matter. All it took to fix the issues and finally put us in a room was a call from Expedia to clear the matter. I believe the guest experience was forgotten, and money became focus.

Excellent stay for a relaxing weekend!

Pros: I love the room and the staff is very friendly.
Cons: Perhaps maintenance on the AC because when it starts it usually is loud, not sure if this can be fixed.
Location: Any time I go, I usually go into downtown Palm Springs for a relaxing dinner and drinks after at a local bar.
This is a great hotel to stay at for any occasion especially a last minute getaway. They greet you with one of the best cookies I've ever had. I've stayed twice in the last 3 months and I will continue to stay here. I highly recommend it, it's clean and the rooms are so comfortable!

First off, we noticed that water pools in the bathroom sink. No big deal, nothing to really complain about. Noticed on the second that the we have the same problem in the shower, still not really a huge issue. For some reason we got a sewer stench in the room early in the morning and late at night. We figured it comes from the lakes in the golf course and nothing can be done about it, so whatever. I'm not really the complaining type. My complaint comes from what we found on the morning on the 2nd day of our stay. We noticed disgusting looking stains on the bed cover, below the sheets. I have no idea what it was, but it was pretty disgusting. I took a picture of it and went to the reception around 9:30 in the morning. I showed the picture to one of the staff and asked - kindly - to have the cleaning staff to please change all the bedding in the room. They offered to take out the resort fee for the first night of our stay. Fine, but I didn't really care about that, I just wanted all the bedding changed. Long story short, at 2:30 the room is still not cleaned. I finally find the cleaning staff of the floor, take them to the room and show them the problem. She was obviously completely unaware of the issue. If a guest comes to you complaining about dirty bedding, you make sure cleaning their room is priority #1. They shouldn't go after the cleaning staff 5-6 hours later and ask them again to change the bedding.

Great hotel, Great food, great everything

Pros: Everything.
We had an amazing relaxing experience at the Double Tree Hotel. The staff was friendly, the food was great, the room was nice and clean and our balcony gave us an amazing view of the mountains. It was also very convenient as it's a short walk away from the supermarket and less than 10 minutes from the airport. I would definitely stay at the DoubleTree again!

Hidden resort fee!

Pros: Not much. It was clean and conveniently located.
Cons: See my comments above.
I was surprised to learn upon check-in that there is a daily resort fee of about $28. Expedia does not make this clear. Nor do they make it clear that Hilton honors points do not accrue when you book through a third party such as Expedia. I expect a hotel to have free coffee in the lobby in the morning - this one doesn't. The grounds crew shouting to one another at 6:30 a.m., waking me up, was the last straw. Not a pleasant stay.

very dusty , hotel housekeeper should wash it regularly, but overall very good.
